Hi mate im guessing your bootloader is unlocked & you have CWM installed...right ?

also im guessing you want stock Moto G 4.4.4..also looking at your sig you have a XT1033 Dual sim version..??

if so then just flash the zip within the custom recovery

Flashable stock 4.4.4 Moto g roms here:

Seems like there is an issue, although I clear Dalvik cache, cache partition and wipe data/factory reset, all my data is still there.

Not sure this is normal, although it kind of makes sense, as otherwise the ROM .zip file would be gone too.

But usually when you factory restore an Android phone, all data is gone.

I also get a message saying "E:unknown volume for path [/sd-ext]", is that normal?

CWM version is 6.0.4.6

I am trying to update ROM to hopefully get rid of this problem: http://www.modaco.com/topic/373540-hardware-issue-no-sound-and-strange-behaviour/

So far it seems like it is not working.

The "E:unknown volume for path [/sd-ext]" always happens with the original Moto G variants due to them not having an External SD card slot, so don't ever worry about that error. As for factory reset not working, now that is odd, normally it will remove all applications and stuff but keep files such as photo's and music. Is that what it has done or has it not deleted anything? If it's not deleted ANYTHING then perhaps try a different version of recovery or a different one all together like TWRP.
