Someone wrote in another forum.

If you want to wap over gprs, use a proven open gateway ip address such as o2 (193.113.200.195) or Ericsson (193.95.167.178).

Try it and see if it works.

Create proxy connection

Description: Sun WAP proxy

Connects from: The Internet

Connects to: WAP network

Proxy (name:port): 193.113.200.200

Type: WAP

Username: blank

Password: blank

Create GPRS connection.

Description: Sun WAP

Connects to: The Internet

Access point: wap (or try minternet)

User name: (blank)

Password: (blank)

Primary DNS: 0.0.0.0

Secondary DNS: 0.0.0.0

IP address: (blank)

In data connections

Internet Connection: Sun GPRS

WAP connection : Sun WAP

In Internet Explorer, goto connections and tick 'Automatically detect settings'

Try and connect to wsp://www.google.com/wml

This is from Sun cellular website and I suspect that 'applicable charges apply' means they are going to charge you lots of money for it

http://www.suncellular.com.ph/products/gprs.html

SERVICE GUIDELINES

1. GPRS is available to both Postpaid and Prepaid subscribers but needs to be requested.

2. There is no charge for activation of the service.

3.Set-up/configuration of the mobile phone needed for GPRS to function can be requested "Over-the-Air" (OTA) but this depends on what service you want to run.

RATES

Access charge is P0.25 per kilobyte. For downloads, applicable charges apply.

yahoo messenger is still not working.. hmm..

I got in WAP mesenger OK  This is what I did.

Untick 'auto detect settings' and make 'Select Network=WAP Network'.

Install WebWapSelect V1.1 and change type to WAP (mode WAP:Nokia 7650).

Reset Phone.

Goto Address wsp://wap.yahoo.com

Enter country and then messenger.

All I need now is a keyboard :D

Guys,

Thanks for the info on the WebWapSelect. This solved my problem with GlobeXTM. Before, I'm having problem accessing this globe option. Now with the help of WebWapSelect, I can use it now... I also noticed some improvement on my WAP access speed.

thanks a lot...

Hi, I'm using a Samsung Omnia II GT I8000

And I can't receive MMS.

I'm a Sun Cellular Postpaid Subscriber.

I called them to ask for the settings, but I just can't get it right.

Coz they don't know how to set it up themselves for my phone.

Please help.
