FPJ caters to the hopes and aspirations of the billion of Filipinos who have yet to taste a 'decent' life. They see in him a hero just as they see him in his movies. There are more Filipinos who have watched at least 1 FPJ movie than those who have seen the Senate in session. Why would the balut vendor choose a good statesman in Roco when he hasn't seen him kill a 'Japanese' in the movies? Why would the PUV drivers choose GMA who they haven't seen drive for herself over FPJ who even portrayed their profession in the movies? The reason why there is a longer queue in a Lotto booth than the queue over the Comelec precint is the same reason why the average Pinoy would vote FPJ. Juan de la Cruz would risk and spend all just to experience how it is to have your own house, to drive your own car, to feel the luxury of an air-conditioned room, etc. The way Erap lorded it over in '98 , that's the way FPJ will win it........ unless GMA finds a way to disqualify FPJ. Guest Brigoli Posted December 2, 2003 Report Share Posted December 2, 2003 wow! mainit na ang debate dito a! cool lang dobby at nokiauser. as both of you say, we are entitled to our own opinion. nokiauser? familiar? someone from the past? parang hindi naman.... hay! napakapathetic ng sitwasyon natin. kung sinu-sino na lang ang gustong magpatakbo ng gobyerno. but i believe running this country is a partnership -- partnership between the government and the citizens kaya let's start doing our share. walang magagawa ang pag-angal natin kung wala tayong gagawin (bukod sa pag-angal, pleez!) at kung wala tayong alternative. and i don't think fpj (or ping) is the alternative. mag-isip-isip na tayo.
