After cleaning up the categories I use for my contacts - I still have a number of categories that show up - even though there are no contacts assigned to that category. Guest nickcornaglia Posted January 2, 2004 Report Share Posted January 2, 2004 Are you sure you dont have contacts assigned to Multiple categories? Also, Even if you only deleted the category...the number will still be assigned to it with a (not in master category list) next to it on the PC. Your best bet is to do all of your category editing on the PC. Once the categories are truely gone, everything should clean up. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest ScottHay Posted January 3, 2004 Report Share Posted January 3, 2004 Hmmm, looking at the categories on my phone today, it seems like my category list has cleaned up some after resyncing - and the unused categories are now gone. Note when this category issue occured before - I had verified the categories being used - both in Outlook (grouping by category view) and also on the i600 (I would filter by that category and see no contacts listed).
