Download the application from the first post :)

Copy it to StoragewindowsStart MenuAccessories which you can find it in "My Computer" under "Mobile Device" which then reveals "My Smartphone"

Once you've done that, go on the start menu on your phone, and to Accessories, click on the .cab file to install :(

There are three bt states ... off // on // be seen (direct translation from my Danish ROM)

I'd be super happy if you could choose which state of on and be seen you wanted to switch to!

This utility provides a very quick and easy way to turn Bluetooth on and off.

Run it and it will toggle BT from off to on and from on to off as appropriate.

The only indications of it working are a) The word BTToggle appears in the title bar at the top of the screen (briefly) :) the bluetooth icon will appear/disappear in the title bar as appropriate.

If you use a http://smartphone.modaco.com/viewforum.php?f=43>home screen with the mru plugin or the orange shortcut plugin you can have this easily accessible.

Installs a shortcut to Accessories section of start menu.

Am I missing something?? I don't seem to see the download link?? Can somebody throw me a bone to get this installed on my MPX220?

EDIT: Nevermind I just came back and the download showed up now. Very was very odd.

OK. Before I install I am hoping that someone can verify the operation of Activestync. I went through the whole nightmare of getting the program installed (would not install from the disk), then getting the whole com port thing set up. Now as I understand, the bluetooth connection must be established from the phone only (cannot establish from the computer). Once the phone is linked the info will sync on connection but will not continue to sync unless AS is set to sync continuously OR it will sync manually BUT only from the computer side when the sync button is clicked. Is this correct? I read that a continous connection drains the battery. "Wireless Schedule" seems to have no effect- what is the purpose?

My goal is to be able to leave the phone in the car at night charging & be able to let in sync at night & be ready for the next day. Suggestions appreciated.

Cool application

I tried in C500 - working perfectly

I also added to homecreen and also working fine

To switch it off it takes 1 sec

To switch it on takes around 2-3 sec (just wondering why  )

IF u using RJShortcut plugin

this will be the line

NICE job :)

Great App! Do you know if there is a similar application for toggling GPRS? I would love to be able to reset my GPRS connection without rebooting the phone.

Thanks,

Dan

this doesn't work on the Audiovox smt 5600 :D For some reason holding home goes to IE Favorites :-| It would be nice if someone could whip up an app that simulates the Voyager long home key press where you can disconnect GPRS... It would make alot of audiovox users happy.

I dont mean to ask silly questions but what key do you mean when u say the "Home Key"? i always thought the only way to switch BT on was through the menus??

The one with the House symbol that takes you back to the homescreen.

Press and hold it and up pops a quick-list.

Ah, there's the problem!

This is an MS Smartphone forum, so the answer works for MS Smartphones, but won't for a P900

Try www.my-symbian.com or www.esato.com for more help with the P900

AFAIK most P900 Tracker skins had Bluetooth shortcuts on them, and if you don't use Tracker you could always assign one of the shortcuts at the top of the screen to get you to the settings quickly.

I've also written a Bluetooth toggle app that does on and off (which is what I needed)...I've done a version that switches between off / on / discoverable. It just runs without displaying any UI at all - so as others have suggested, the best way to run it is to add a Speed Dial entry for it (I choose 28 (BT)) for it. I've attached both versions to the message. Unzip the file, then run from the PC over ActiveSync to the device. Note that the apps aren't signed, so you will get a security dialog.
