There is a setting to allow Google to verify apps and disable 'harmful' apps installing. AdAway is flagged by this if you have the 'feature' turned on.

+1 this was my experience too... (Windo$e) - keep USB plugged into PC after approx 1 or 2 minutes you'll hear the 'USB' plugin sound - adb reboot (or keep power button pressed till reset) - took me x3 attempts on 'stock' - worked 1st time after reflash of 'stock' falcon_retgb-user 4.4.2 KLB20.9-1.10-1.9 5 release-keysMSM8626BP_1032.340.63.00 -
Agree, 100% removing OTG is regressive... The 'block installation' feature is very sneaky ala AdAway Google are releasing more & more 'propietry' lock in as Android moves forward IMHO

Just wanted to say thanks for the op, I was able to use it to flash falcon_retgb-user 4.4.2 KLB20.9-1.10-1.9 5 release-keysMSM8626BP_1032.340.63.00 (now done x2) without problems. Very grateful & learning lots... :)
