  2. Resolved this and I can now boot into recovery with clockwork mod :)
  3. I'm also having problems getting z4RooT Version 1.3.0 to permanently root my ZTE Blade When I choose "Permanenet Root" the program goes through the motions, then the phone resets and the phone is not rooted. When I choose "Temporary root" the phone roots BUT!! The root only lasts until the next phone reboot, then the phone loses root. Can anyone help advise me how to permanently root the phone? Thanks in advance
  4. Hi Guys, Can anyone advise me on what to do next in order to install a mod on my ZTE Blade gen2 and what ROM to install? The phone is rooted, though only temporarily, using z4RooT Version 1.3.0. The phone becomes "Unrooted" when it is powered off and then powered back on. - Can anyone explian why this is happening and what can I do to permanently root the phone? I installed Clockwork mod 5.0.2.0 via Rom manager V5.5.2.8 over Wi-Fi. I tried downloading a ROM using the Rom manager app. via Wi-Fi, the download hung. All apps, messges and contacts are backed up. A concern I have is that my blade wont boot into recovery mode, either manually (Pressing volume up - Or Volume down - and power key the phone just boots up as if powering on normally) or booting into recovery mode via Rom manager V5.5.2.8. Doing it via Rom manager, the phone gets stuck on the green android icon - Is this "Hanging" anything to do with z4RooT only rooting the phone temporarily? Also I cant make a backup of my rom using Rom manager, the phone again gets stuck on the green android icon. I have read a lot trying to sort this out myself and now I'm just really confused as to what to do next as I'm what is termed "Overloaded" due to my dyslexia. http://www.dyslexiavictoriaonline.com/inovad.html http://eideneurolearningblog.blogspot.co.uk/2009/09/visual-overload-and-visual-crowding.html Thanks for reading my post  Update - I've now got the phone permanently rooted by using a different copy of z4RooT. The phone is still "Hanging" on the green android icon using both methods described above.
  5. Hi Guys, Quick post to introduce myself before I start asking for help on installing a new ROM, partitioning and uninstalling bloat ware. Got a ZTE Blade, managed to root and install the clockwork recovery after 6 hours, my main problem is my comprehension of information due to my dyslexia and problems with short term memory, also throw ADHD into the mix :( Thanks in advance :)
