  1. The Exchange Server is my own at home :) Any ideas what I need to do?
  2. I've just got a new M3100 and put the Official WM6 HTC ROM on it. I've got a problem syncing with my Exchange Server (2k3, SP2) in that I do not receive all of the items that are specified in the settings. For example, my calendar on my device is empty, even though the exchange one has appointments, and ActiveSync is set to sync all future appointments and the last 6 months with Exchange. I am also missing a few contacts from my list. Does anyone have any ideas why this isn't working? Scott
  3. Hi All, I've just got a Krusell bike mount for my SPV C550, and I need a way to toggle the display settings so that I can keep the screen on permanantly when I am riding. I know it is possible to remap the internet explorer button on the top of the left hand side of the phone, and this would be ideal. The best solution would be if I pressed it, and the backlight stayed on permanantly, and then another press would return it to the normal settings. Is there an application around that could do this, or is it a fairly easy thing to write? I'm a programmer myself, but I mainly deal with web development and scripting. I've never programmed anything for Windows Mobile. Thanks Scott
  4. Hi All, Just wondering if anyone knows the answer to a problem which is really bugging me on Windows Vista. Every time I connect my SPV C550, I get the error: "Windows Driver Foundation - User-mode Driver Framework Host Process has stopped working.". This prevents me from syncing my device, or opening it to transfer files. In fact I can't do anything with it at the moment. Anyone know a workaround for this? It happens on both my Windows Vista machines, and both are showing up-to-date on Windows Update. Scott.
  5. I found a solution to the syncing problem last night! Basically when I first plugged my Smartphone in, it didn't come up with the options box that it should have done, asking me how I wanted to sync the devide: automatically or manually. So what I needed to do was click the drop down on the sync tab, select the device and then click Set Up Sync. Then it was just a case of selecting manual and pressing finish. Job Done!
  6. Can anyone here who's got a WM2003SE device, preferably a C550 give this a go to see if it's the software or just me!
  7. Am just compressing a screen capture video showing what happens...
  8. WMP11 has now decided that it doesn't even want to recognise my phone... It just says Connect a Device... Paul: What device are you using to sync with? I'm wondering if this is a problem with WM2003SE as I guess you've got a WM5 device by now ;) Scott
  9. Just downloaded the Beta of Windows Media Player 11 today and, it seems, Microsoft are still having problems with Smartphone sync. I very occasionally managed to get WMP10 to sync, but WMP11 doesn't seem to want to work at all. I'm currently running the 4.2 beta of ActiveSync. Anyone got any ideas as to how I could solve this problem? Thanks, Scott
  10. Aha Cheers mate! I had left that off, thinking it only applied to Infrared!!! Scott
  11. Hi, I'm having a problem receiving files on my SPV C550. I can send files via bluetooth without any problems, however I cannot receive files from other people even though I have the latest Smart Explorer installed. A message just comes up on the other person's handset (Non-Windows) saying Service Unavailable. Any Ideas? Scott
  12. Bugger, I paid £150 for it without the music kit back in September!!!
  13. Not sure if this will work because I've never tried it but overwrite the file Windows\OrangeShutdown.jpg with another file. It needs to be 240px wide by 320px High as the C550 has the new QVGA screen. I'd recommend backing up your phone before you try this... Scott
  14. I think the problem with Smartphones is that they look just like normal mobile phones. If, for example you had an SPV M500, M2000 or M5000 (or equivalent on other network) then you would be less likely to be told to switch it off as Cabin Crew would think it's a PDA and not a phone. Not trying to be stereotypical here but most of the young female cabin crew members are the people who are likely to have flip/slide Samsungs, Nokias etc. Some of them might have a smartphone or know someone who has one, but it's unlikely as at the moment Windows Smartphone users are only a small minority of the world mobile phone market. It will be interesting to see what happens when I fly London Gatwick - Barcelona next year on EasyJet. I'm going to take my phone's manual with me and if a Cabin Crew member asks I'll just show them the page which says about Flight Mode. Scott
