  1. Just use IE to browse the internet and find the media that you want to watch. Follow the link and the streaming media player will open automatically. I have tried it with the SVT (swedish television) mobile site, and it worked without any problems. I am on Telia in Sweden.
  2. Also remember to turn off bluetooth in the comm manager. Flight mode should be all radio transmittors off, so both 1 and 2 (phone and bluetooth) must be off!
  3. That ROM is called RUU_BREE100_1.16.251.1_1.14.00.10_HTCEUR_Ship_CID_QTEK_Z12.exe, so it seems to be older than the one released by brightpoint.
  4. Users have successfully flashed the radio from Hermes into a Breeze! See here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=282223 Walko: is your device a HTC MTeoR, an iMate or Dopod?
  5. You have to register under the myqtek tab and enter your phone IMEI number (phone sold by Brightpoint required). Now you can enter the myqtek part of the site and download upgrades to your phone. :)
  6. A new ROM is out for the MTeoR on the european market. It is called RUU_BREE100_1.30.251.1_1.16.00.10_HTCEUR_Ship.exe. It seems the part after the _ is the radio version. It will be interesting to see if this version fixes the bugs that have annoyed us! The qtek.se site has this description of the file : "Denna uppdatering innehåller bl.a. en ny 2G/3G-radioversion p.g.a tidigare nätproblem." That is roughly: "This update includes a new 2G/3G-radio version due to earlier net problems"
  7. Have you tried returning your phone for a repair/exchange? I see that you've written about your problem (or rather, your phones problem) many times, but though it may help to blow off some steam it won't fix the problem. Others do not have a battery problem of the magnitude that your MTeoR does, so it seems likely that something is wrong with it. My experience is that the battery time isn't exactly great, but not a catastrophe either.
  8. There are versions of Tomtom 5, one for touch screens (Tomtom Navigator 5) and one for phones withot a touch screen (Tomtom Mobile 5). I also have the problem with Tomtom Mobile 5 that the voice disappears. I also tried tomtom 6, but I can only find a version for touch screens. It is unusable for me. Is there any version for phones like the MTeoR?
  9. I haven't suffered at all from this problem with my HTC MTeorR, but there are problems. My phone (and some others - read the thread on battery life) have problems with the phone loosing connection with the mobile network. It sometimes says "serching", "no service", or "start service". When you reset the phone everything is all right and I often have full signal strength. If I was you, I would wait until there is a firmware upgrade, with some feedback on the forum reporting if the problems are solved. As far as I can tell the hardware seems fine, so I think some bug fixes are all that is required.
  10. I recognize that problem, bowerandy (the constant "searching"). I tried going into flight mode. Then I wanted to go back and turn radio on in order to see if it would regain the signal, but I couldn't turn the radio back on!!! On a number of other occasions, the phone has instead displayed "startup service" or "no service" (or similar, I have a Swedish language phone). In all cases, I have been in a place with full signal strength. In these cases, turning off and on the radio did the trick. I agree with others that this phone needs a firmware upgrade real bad! Since the TyTN has gotten an upgrade, I am hoping that MTeoR will also get one soon. They share the same radio hardware after all, so it should be pretty fast to use the new TyTN radio stack in the MTeoR as well.
  11. Is there a way that a WM5 smartphone (such as the Mteor) can automatically disconnect the data connection (GPRS,..) after x minutes of no traffic? Is there a way to do the same with bluetooth? As far as I know, one has to disconnect both of them manually, and if one forgets to do so the battery time will be shorter.

  13. The task manager has locked up one a few occations and you have to reset the phone in order to get it to work again.
