  1. Thox, Yes GPS is only a receiver and not a transmitter of any form. Indeed most aircraft are fitted with very similar systems to the ones in a phone or handheld GPS receiver. They just have a GPS antenna fitted to the aircraft skin to enable a better reception and this is then connected to the GPS processor in the cockpit. The only reason most airlines say you must switch off your mobile phone is that it can interfere with the coms onboard much like the sound you hear if you hold your phone next to a speaker. If everyone onboard an aircraft has their phone on imagine what the feedback can be like.
  2. Well, I have been up and running now for a day and really like it so far. The only problem I was having was my TYTn was reporting low on memory all the time but have found a fix for this by moving the Cache onto the storage card and now my memory stays as it was on the device and only uses my memory card :D If you want to give this a try have a look here http://www.wmexperts.com/articles/howto/ho...e_in_opera.html TIMS31
  3. I've just tried again using the new beta 1 release and that has installed fine now and I'm up and running with Opera Mobile WOO HOO!!! :D Will report back on how I find it.
  4. Not sure what you mean by that? App unlock. Any idea how I would check this.
  5. No the phone is not loocked to any network. It is connected through T-mob but is an HTC TYTn and not locked to their network. Also I don't have this problem with any other software I install???
  6. I can't get this to install Every time I try I just get the "Installation Unsuccessful. The program or setting cannot be installed because it is not digitally signed with a trusted certificate" I have switched the warning off with HTweakC but that has now effect. Any ideas? I was really looking forward to installing this and giving it a try.
  7. Hi, I have the TYTn with WM6 and the 8gb SDHC card and works great. I managed to get the deal advertised on this site for the 8gb SDHC card plus adapter and delivered for £18.14. Just enter the 10% off code of mb10db to get it for this price. http://www.memorybits.co.uk/shop/micro-sd-...qr8192e11m/5531
  8. I only seem to get the audio and no pictures? Any idea if media player needs a plugin for it to work?
  9. I have the HTC TyTN (same as Vario II) running WM6 and have just tried a 8GB SDHC card and seems to be fine and running well with no problems. I would imagine the same would be true for the T-mobile version.
  10. Thanks for all that. Think I will take a look and read through all that before I give it a go...Like you say... a £450 paperweight is not much good to me
  11. Hi UndeadDevil, Just got the vario II with T-mobile and love it...where did you get the new radio for this and how did you instal; and run this. Sorry a bit new at this but would like to get the better performance. tims31
  12. You say you have WM6 on your Vario II. Is that a standard Vario II from T-mobile or have you upgraded it?
