  1. http://www.amazon.com/Sharper-Image-202TSI...1045&sr=8-1 Stumbled upon this today. Wonder if anyone knows anything about it. Its shape and trackball make it look very much like a Blackberry Curve...
  2. When you buy a new phone, carriers may try to "steer" you into a certain plan based on the phone you buy. For example, they charge more for the data plans on Blackberries and other pdas because they're expecting you'll use the internet more than someone taking the cheap-o Nokia POS. Now, the carrier CAN figure out what phone you're using is they really wanted to (the phone's IMEI # is transmitted when a call is made) but it's not something they look for. They've got better things to do. You shouldn't even need to unlock the Blackjack. The 2125 and BJ are both Cingular/AT&T, and as such any Cingular/AT&T SIM should work. SIM unlocking is for when there is a carrier mis-match between phone and SIM. The caveat for you might be this: BJ is a 3G phone so you may need a 3G SIM if you don't already have one (and if the 2125 is your most recent phone you probably don't).
  3. Like the title says, when I go to Task Manager on my Blackjack, ActiveSync is frequently present. The thing is, it's there whether I've synced or not. I'll have Task Manager stop all running programs, but a little while later ActiveSync will be back. What gives?
  4. Title pretty much says it all. I enjoyed boxy pocket on my SMT5600. Now that I have a Blackjack, Boxy Pocket doesn't work (landscape issue I guess). Is there a new version I haven't found that'll work? Alternatively, is there another similar game I should try instead? Free games would be best :) Thanks!
  5. I'm looking for the theme music for The Shield. Does anyone know where I might be able to find it?
  6. Try these instructions: http://www.modaco.com/Change-Hard-Coded-St...er-t229901.html Worked for me. BJ does need to be app-unlocked.
  7. I don't understand your question. Try describing what you are looking for (but not finding) and what you are doing.
  8. I'm sure it has something to do with how I hold it, but my Blackjack's sharp upper edge kinda hurts my ear when I'm talking on it. Anyone else experience this? And if so, have you done anything about it? I'm thinking I might cut a piece of egrips to "soften" the edge.
  9. Look at qusers.com. This thread has TONS but there are probably other threads too. http://www.qusers.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1054 Also look at the forums on everythingq.com
  10. Also a set of handy mobile-friendly Favorites, but not necessarily Windows Mobile related. Sports, news, weather, stocks, etc.
  11. While there's no way to retrieve the messages off the phone, it's my understanding that SMSes are cached on the telco's servers for a couple days. Gaining access to them though, even to your own messages, is FBI search warrant type stuff. Basically, ain't no way it's gonna happen for you. I believe there have been some criminal cases here in the States where the police used cached SMSes as evidence (the perp of course thought they were gone when deleted from the phone).
  12. Wow, looks like I'm in the minority, but I use mine for making phone calls a lot. My girlfriend is currently living in another town while at grad school, so we use cell phones to avoid long distance charges on the home phone. Also, syncing my Outlook info, most importantly contacts. Like Encece said, I only remember like 4 phone numbers now, everyone else I have to look up. Like many of you, I tend to get new phones pretty often (used to anyway). Back in the day you had to sit down with your old phone and your new phone and peck every single number into the new one. No thank you! The Smartphone platform has eliminated that problem! (As well as helping me cut back on phone purchases due to fewer options and higher prices ;) ) And I use SmartConvert for the occasional How Many Inches In A Kilometer question, etc. Disappointingly, it couldn't tell me how many pounds in a stone. That one stumped me...
