  1. Me too, kinda hate to see it go, except for the crappy screen being messed up and had two replacements that were as bad as the original messed up one. Oh well, i910 you served me well and shall be missed. Hello Samsung Galaxy S 2, or whatever 4G phone Verizon gets that I like, but it will probably be another Samsung, seeing as HTC screwed the pooch, IMHO, on the Thunderbolt, should have been called Lightning Bolt, as you DON'T SEE THUNDER!..LMAO
  2. I thought I was going nuts today when I found DF14, glad to see I'm not alone in that NO OFFICIAL E-MAIL FROM VERIZON letting me know about the update, bastards! I have been having a hell of a time dropping my internet when tethering, so hopefully this will cure the problem(fingers crossed).
  3. I used the Flotanium before, worked OK, and have now flashed to the M2D2 only sisnce that was the screen i liked best. I'm having an issue with the weather panel, I can't add any cities. I go in, find the citiy, but when I try to add it nothing is saved. Any ideas? Also when I go to send a SMS, it wont open the page to type my message or it will prompt me to ok IE to make a change. Its really weird.
  4. Anyone else using one of these ROMs able to use their GPS with Google MAps or any other app? I have to find out how you are, because on my i910 it just aint happening unless I use Verizon's VZ NAv first.
  5. I would love to use Bing and Google MAps, unfortunately neither have voice turn by turn for the Omnia, and secondly, I can't get either to work correctly using GPS, unless I have turned on VZ Nav first, then I can get a sat lock, and then I can turn off VZ NAv. Without VZ Nav my supposed unlocked GPS will not turn on. And since VZ NAv is voice turn by turn I use, just don't like the newer version 5, it got rid of being able to see your lat and long and speed.

  7. I NEVER set up anything like that. I have a simple gmail account and set it up like my other email account. As far as I know it doesn't sync any of my information with gmail like an exchange server. I can have my gmail account search for new emails and active sync DOES NOT open.. It just opens up randomly, I will kill it through task manager, and it opens right back up. I have no clue what it is trying to sync or why.
  8. It is under settings>system and looks like a little satellite icon and is labeled external GPS
  9. Too much of aPITA. I'll just reload VZ Nav, I know it functions fine with it. I'm not a flashoholic, I hate flashing my phone, but thanks. BTW, if the unlocked GPS worked so well, you wouldn't need so many programs to make it work. Something tells me Verizon didn't unlock its capabilities all the way, otherwise it would be much easier to use with 3rd party applications.
  10. +1 waiting on LTE to roll out and see what's available. The ole i910 will work til then.
  11. I set up my emails, I have a gmail and yahoo account, but why and how is it using ActiveSync? I thought AS was only used to sync your phone to your laptop or PC. I didn't think it had anything to do with receiving emails to the phone.
  12. I can get this to work but only for a short time. It will drop the internet connection, said the server, thus Verizon, has disconnected.
  13. I can't get my GPS to come on since I did a hard reset and didn't ad on VZ NAv. It's like the chip won't turn on and I have GPS toggle and that won't work either. The values mentioned in the thread in post 8, are the values in red supposed to be replaced by 512 and 1024?
  14. I read through the post, should I concentrate on post #8?
  15. I don't have any of the \Samsung GPS Hardware\ or \Multiplexer\MaxBufferSize keys on my i910. I did see the current and old log files, but I didn't change them since i didn't have the other values. Anything else i can check?
  16. THANK YOU!!! I had to do a hard reset and got v. 4.0 and no it doesnt have cell triangular or voice search. The Google folks need to update their stuff. Version 4 SUX! All we need now is for them to add Google Nav, and i'll be all set.
  17. I have GPS Keep alive, but it doesn't seem to work very well, by itself. Once I get the GPS on, by turning on VZ NAv, then the GPS KA will work. What is gpsgate, and where can I find a CAB for it? I really, really don't want to do a hard reset, takes me a week to get the damn thing back to the way i want it. I'd rather just keep using VZ Nav real quick, and turn it off after GPS KA is started. If you can provide the CAB or link to it for gpsgate, I would appreciate it.
  18. Thanks, I knew most of this already. I did do a search, got "0" results, that's why I posted, Thank You. I know about how to make the GPS visible in the Location setting, Thanks again. I have seen, and used Com port 8, but the Baud rate I've been using with the best success is 6500. I can get a lock, as long as I turn on VZ Nav first, if I don't do that, I could drink a f*ckin keg of beer, and this bitch wouldn't get a lock. The only gem you provided is stating that the i910 GPS chip is a POS, but that still doesn't explain why the supposed "unlocked" GPS requires F*cking VZ Nav to even turn its POS self on, that is my question. To see if anyone knew, possibly through the registry, how to make a settings change so that WHATEVER GPS software I wanted to use, would actually turn the POS chip on.
  19. I have the DC22 update and a custom ROM, but i can't get my GPS to come on unless I turn VZ NAV on first, then I get a lock, I can turn off VZ NAv, and I'm fine. But why won't it just work? Is there a registry setting i can check and possibly change to fix this?
  20. I have this exact problem as well and I have the DC22 update. I can't get the GPS to come on unless I turn on VZ Nav first, then everything is fine. Is there a registry setting to check and change?
  21. Now I would still like to use the Google Voice, it is kinda nice to get text message transcripts of the messages. How can I use it without the headache of continually having to go in and deactivating my phone to delete the messages off the Verizon system. It would be nice if it were re-directed to a different system that bypassed Verizon so you could delete the messages from your Google account. Is this what happens when you get a Google number, and if so, how will it attach to my cell number, the only phone I have, so when people call I can use the service.
  22. YOU ARE THE MAN!!! That did it, now I can delete my voice mails from the Verizon system. No more annoying VM reminders. It is a Good Day..LOL>
  23. Nah not worth it. Too much of a PITA..LOL
