  1. As was stated in a previous post, the notification bar only shows up when you have a message or missed call. You might try saving an unread email that you never mark as read, that might make the bar stay up all the time.
  2. A fellow at the company I work at got a Verizon HTC Incredible. I don't know if it is Incredible but it is Impressive - I got my i920 (Verizon) O2 when it first came out, but I'm thinking seriously about getting our IT guy to pull some strings to get me an (very) early upgrade.
  3. There is now a Windows 7 version of the update - choose software and then open the PDF and choose the correct link: http://www.samsung.com/us/consumer/mobile/...amp;tab=support

  5. I broke down and upgraded - haven't seen anything significant to report.
  6. I have the download but just waiting a while to decide what to do. I jumped on the first update and installed it before they pulled it and then re-released it. I didn't have any problems after installing it, but I didn't see any real changes either. Please post what you learn as soon as you learn anything about this new release.
  7. If you will notice, that section isn't just for the i8000 it is called labeled "i8000 & Verizon SCH-i920 Omnia II". This is the ROM discussion subforum. I haven't tried it yet, still thinking about it. I'd like to know what has changed first.
  8. Samsung has a new update for the Verizon i920 just added to the website. It is listed as 1.0.1.9. Anyone have any idea what, if anything, is new? There isn't any new documentation on the site yet.
  9. I updated mine the first time, but if anyone wants to try again here it is: http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/...K24_For_DLC.pdf
  10. I know I have the Verizon i920 and you have another version, but I have never had a *problem* with it autoclosing apps. I've had 8+ running at one time until I remember that I have some running that I don't need and manually close them out.
  11. I'm sure I can only help a little, but I was using an i910 and now I have an i920 (both from Verizon). I really liked the Omnia, but I find the Omnia II to be much much faster and display is excellent. I have few crashes and the battery lfe is great. This is, I'm sure, because I use it mostly as a phone and email device. If you want a new phone right now, I'd suggest the Omnia II but there's always somehting better comming out soon...
  12. Report back here what you think of the Nexus One. I'll have to wait for it to come to Verizon but I'd still like to know more about it. I still like my Omnia II better than anything else out there from Verizon, but I'm always looking.
  13. I'll be watching and waiting, but this time, I'll be looking at Android phones too.
  14. Maybe the solution is a Samsung Android phone - I'm getting tired of waiting on Windows Mobile. This is coming from a fan of the Windows Desktop operating system.
