Folks, A freind of mine has taken delivery of a custom steady cam system that requires a Android tablet to setup/adjust and control it remotely. The tablet needs to be Bluetooth 4 capable and only needs to be used for the sole purpose of the control app to setup and run the system So preferably a budget solution is preferred. Nothing fancy, just perfectly usable. We know of the usual tablet suspects but didnt know if there are any "no name" gems out there that would fit the bill. It basically just has to be velcroed to the travel case for use on a shoot. Any suggestions for diamonds in the rough? Thanks

White SPV C600 and reluctant profiles
daglesj replied to daglesj's topic in Smartphone General Discussion
So is this inability to switch or lagging between profiles a common occurance? Ta -
I had a quick serch through this forum and didnt find anythnig simialr to this so apologies if its a regular problem. I got my White C600 a few weeks and whislt I like it very much it seems to have a few usability issues. The main one is when I switch between ringing profiles such as Normal and Meeting. I can switch to meeting and the Meeting indicator doesnt appear, though the tick is against meeting. I can switch back and forth but it does nothing then the indicator will appear. Then I try to switch back to normal it stays in meeting mode even though its set to Normal. Even switching on and off doesnt always sort it. Any clues or tips? Cheers guys.

Yes cheers Paul, happy birthday! Was very nice to sit in your backgarden last night. The Chocolate fountain was really cool, thats kind of why I had to go otherwise I would have hogged the whole thing. So who got shot the most today? Hmmmm let me guess..........hehe

MoDaCo Summer Event 2006: Hands on with the SPV C100 (HTC Oxygen)
daglesj replied to PaulOBrien's topic in Smartphone (Standard) News
I actually liked this one best (wasnt that keen on the 700). Paul knows I like day to day funtionality over total number of features (much to his bemusement) and I just thought it felt very 'usable'. The keypad was the easiest smartphone one yet in my opinion. I might have bought one if certain folks had not been so wonderfully generous. :) -
The first winner was 107.

It was a great day! Thanks to all those who organised. The effort showed very much. Thanks for the superb Xbox360, games and broadband access too. Its now all setup and running like a dream! I just hope my buddy Scot is now over the agony of having the other strip of 39* tickets and we can be friends. Hey Scot, you really should get a 360...they are sweet! Oh and the phone is very nice too! ;) :)
