  1. There seems to be enough interest in Everapp 0.3. Are You man of Your words or just a wuss? Sorry, but I have seen too many promises unfilled. Nothing personal.
  2. I just realized that searching for process takes a while, so here's the second version of the script. While the first version displays contacts without SIP faster and cleaner if the process is already running, it takes a bit more time when it's not running. The second version starts contacts noticeably faster when the process is not already running, in fact it takes about equal amount of time for both cases to display the contacts, yet when the process is already running, it briefly displays the SIP (not like the first version). Just thought I'd post this version too. dissip2.rar
  3. I wrote a small mortscript to fix this stupid keyboard auto popup issue. Just link Your contacts soft key to the DisSIP script or exe and should be OK. DisSIP_by_aiiro.rar
  4. I like the idea and I find it really useful, however, there are some problems... 1) When opening contacts and selecting one, the selecting "Send contact via vCard" from menu, it opens an empty SMS (not an MMS!) with no contact info attached (tested sending, empty SMS is received). 2) the menu items "Mark as read" and "Mark as Unread" don't work. After deinstalling the fix, the vCard sending opens the Samsung SMS editor/composer and the sending then works, but... 1) the native WM SMS app doesn't mark SMS as "read" after opening. 2) the menus "Mark as read" and "Mark as Unread" still don't work. Too bad I didn't try the SMS / MMS / vCard functionality before installing this fix... Is there a possibility to restore the original settings somehow? Could You provide a *.REG file with the original settings for example? P.S. I am using Sumit's own 23145 ROM.

    map w&l button?

It seems it's not possible to map the long press for work/life button. But there's a way to make it launch custom action while You are at Today Screen. 1) Download Mortscript 2) rename the mortscript's dummy.exe to modeswitcher.exe 3) copy it to windows folder with resco explorer, total commander or similar, replacing the old one 4) make a mortscript modeswitcher.mscr and make it do whatever you want, copy it to windows folder 5) reset Et voilà - now the long press for WL button runs Your script. For some reason this only works while You are on Today Screen. Maybe it depends on ROM You are using, some ROMs support the WL button remapping anyway.

  7. I have referred to this post also before, it has helped me out - http://www.modaco.com/index.php?s=&sho...t&p=1494177. What is the perfect ROM if You don't mind sharing? I have tried at least 10 different ROMs but every one of them has some flaws, even minor, like font problems.
  8. Sorry for off-topic question, but I don't have much point to ask this in the various Manila/Sense topics either here or at XDA Dev', when those have last posts like from last summer. I'm currently testing Daskalos Sense 23144 ROM and I was wondering about the popup menus - those have white background and black text. Is it possible to change the popup menu colors at all in Manila / Sense? Like to reverse it so that the menus have black background and white text? Thanks in advance to anyone who has information on this. I have been google'ing half a day and all I came up with was the name "menu-background.qtc" but I don't know whether it's relevant at all or not... Thanks.
  9. Why not? Is it not a good build? I just thought I'd try it as I still have problems with the 29017 build --> link
  10. Well, I guess I was a bit hasty declaring that all is well... The font for Samsung settings is still a bit off, especially when surfing in camera menus (although it might just seem so bcos of the high contrast background when using the camera - i'm testing in the evening, it's dark). The other thing is the black theme, for example, when in start menu, the lock button is missing, although You can still lock the device when pressing at the lock button place. When surfing in start menu, a second start button appears instead of arrow back, which works as good as the original one. Haven't been able to test further, but I think I'll try the 28244 build now... EDIT: Samsung Dialer has a scroll bar and in landscape mode the dialer is totally unusable.
  11. OK, I have bad news and good news... The bad news is that I didn't remember that I flashed another ROM to test last evening, so I couldn't check the fonts... The good news is that I flashed it back together with B7610NXEUIL4 and the 1st problem is gone :) So I took a look in the ₩Windows folder and the only fonts present were SamsungGothic.ttf, SamsungGothicKorean.ttf and... surprise-surprise - wingding.ttf :) Copied cour.ttf and arial.ttf (and tahoma.ttf just in case) from my other device, soft reset and all the problems are gone now :) Thanks! P.S. If You are planning an updated version of this ROM, I think You can remove the SamsungGothicKorean.ttf and wingding.ttf fonts (total 1MB) and include the other three.
  12. Sure, but I can do that in the evening as I am not currently having the device with me, and unfortunately I still have to go to work for living :) I will report in the evening, thanks for quick reply!
  13. Well, I tested the ROM but after getting stuck with some of the same problems listed above by previous posters, I must say that I am somewhat disappointed... I guess this is my own problem as I had high expectations for this, and I also acknowledge that You have not created these ROMs for us to whine about them, but I just thought I must share my thoughts. The good: * really, really fast ROM * stable The bad: * basic stuff missing (like USSD) or doesn't work properly - this is still A PHONE and it's meant for calling, SMS-ing etc. If one cannot receive a call because the ringtones don't work, what is the point of having such ROM? * too many problems with additional functions - CABs behaving strangely, some registry settings messed up My point is - if someone is creating a MEGA/ULTRA LITE ROM, basic stuff like calling and receiving calls, sending / recieving SMS, using the basic hardware provided with the phone (camera, radio, accelerator etc) should still work and not be ripped out, as this generates a bunch of problems later when trying to put all those functions back together. And if we are putting those functions back anyway, what is the point of ripping them out in the first place? :) OK, maybe these ROMs are just a proof-of-concept, in which case disregard everything I said, but still... One could wish that we have a ROM as lite as these and be able to get everything to work easily - which is not probably the case as we can see from the number of problems in posts. Nothing personal, of course, and I appreciate the hard work You have put in it, but as I said, just sharing my thoughts. Respect. P.S. Additional problem that I found, for which I started this post in the first place :) After flashing and hard resetting, it's not possible to calibrate the screen - the phone just skips the calibration after "Tap this screen to calibrate bla bla...". As I am using the phone with left thumb only, the calibration I need is different from the situation where calibration is done with stylus. I guess this is just some file missing from \Windows. But anyway, the phone is not usable by thumb with the calibration data currently cooked in.
  14. Will there be a V2 for WWE as well? From GER V2 I read: 1. changed to new DFT Build 28244. First build was something like un-official 2. o*f*f*i*c*e changed to sys version 3. added htc gsensor emulation 4. xTask removed 5. added showcase suite 6. added titanium bliss, coffice, notification, atcontacts plugins 7. changed samsung sms-mms to default sms application 8. added OpenGles v1 9. changed pagepool to 12 mb I presume for current WWE edition these changes are not included? I don't care about 5 & 6, but the rest seem very much like improvements.
  15. The ULTRA WWE is the best ROM out of 4 I have tested so far, and it would be a keeper, but there is one [_GIANT_] problem... Something is seriously wrong with fonts. For example, 1. if You dial *#9911# on the dialpad, You get something that looks like Wingdings font, but not the nice English battery SOC screen, 2. if You open Schaps Advanced Config -> Locations, all the path backslashes are showing as ₩, 3. if You open UC_Net and it warns about registry security setting, all the path backslashes are showing as ₩, 4. also, if You open Settings -> System -> Lock, the font on top is too "fat" and kinda unreadable. It's hard to explain, take a look Yourself, but in fact this applies to all the Samsung settings windows. I mean if You are planning a fixed version - I really hope You are... Darthveda - You did nothing except soft reset to get rid of the ₩ characters? Doesn't work for me, did soft and hard resets, still garbled. EDIT: Using B7610NXEEJC2 as CSC and none of the other ROMs (also Your 29007 version) have this problem. EDIT2: I just realized it could be a simple "fonts missing" problem, could You take a quick look at it and maybe provide the missing fonts?
