What? You mean "r1-a2sd-desire-dalvik-upgrade-signed" will brick out WIFI permanently and we will need to do a wipe + reflash of MCR to get wifi working again?? :P

Me too... wifi is not working with MCR and APP2SD update applied :P Luckily I can still survive without wifi for now... Sending SMSs via handcent is also not reliable.
  3. Hi Guys, I've just switched from WM to Android and I'm trying to schedule a particular web site to launch in the browser at 7am every day. Is there any way to do this? I could do this on my windows mobile with a task scheduler but I cant find one for Android. I've tried Locale with the shortcut plugin but it does not launch URLs, just app shortcuts <_< ANy help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!
  4. Thanks for the info :) Thats really sad cause I took so long to get my stock ROM setup nicely I'd hate to have to do it all over again.
  5. Hi guys, I'm currently still on my stock 6.1 ROM for my O2. I've seen some of the new 6.5.3 ROMs which look good and even start with 80MB of RAM free. I want to upgrade but is it possible to flash my ROM while retaining all the applications which I have installed? (eg. SPB MObile shell, etc etc...) Can I just use sprite backup and then do a restore on the 6.5.3 rom? THanks!!
  6. Hey guys.... For anyone interested in de-camerizing their O2, i'd just like to tell you that it is perfrectly possible. After seeing the teardown Youtube video this week, I finally had the guys to take apart the phone. All you need to do is.... 1. Remove back cover 2. Remove all the screws 3. Remove second layer of back cover...(a lot of clips along the edges holding the cover in place). 4. Look for the camera + the connector...it is actually just a ZIF connector which can be easily removed/unplugged from the main board. After removing it, you are good to go! Removal of the camera does not cause any OS instabilities, and the camera app actually has a proper error message saying that the camera has been disconnected. Have fun!
  7. Does anyone know if it is possible to remove the Omnia II's camera? I work in a high security place where they are not allowed :)
  8. Hi guys...does anyone know the key presses to hard reset the new Samsung Omnia II? Mine's already stuffed ;)( Thanks!!
