  1. Late to the party here, but I've used the guide to get root/unlock bootloader. Any chance there's going to be any more updates? I'd imagine not but always worth asking.
  2. Looks like the 1.29 HBOOT is too new and not supported generally. Thread on it here: http://forum.xda-dev...d.php?t=1621048
  3. So I sent my Sensation back to HTC to repair after i managed to ruin it replacing the screen myself. They did it under warranty which is ace, but not my new problem... Basically I want to go full root and custom rom, but the device has come back bright and shiny with HBOOT 1.29.0000 (mar 2 2012) and none of my usual methods are able to unlock that. I've spotted the juopunutbear method, but no way am I connecting wires to hot points on my device, I'd rather be stuck with S-ON and wait for my next device. Are there any other solutions / is revolutionary still under development?
  4. I managed to retain and reuse the original sticky stuff :)
  5. Great tips, if only I'd read them before taking apart the phone ;) I went very, very slowly with it. The pins holding the backplate on were a complete arse to unclick so that made me take my time before I got to the PCB's. Scariest part was having my phone in four pieces at the halfway mark (pictured), and then realising I'd not put the screw in to secure the PCB before putting the backplate back on (which I had to then take off again). But it's done, and I've saved nearly £100 - and I feel well ninja for pulling it off.
  6. Just picked up a new digitizer, I'll report back on how easy it was to swap out.
  7. Managed to drop my Sensation XE on the pavement and then stand on it (like an idiot). LCD looks ok but the digitiser is completely shafted, has anyone successfully replaced theirs? I found the video guide below, looks doable but fairly difficult, just trying to work out if I should drop £30 on replacement parts or go to a repair centre.
  8. All here squire: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192300
  9. Hi all, recent Sensation XE buyer here. Was hoping Paul would be on the case with a modaco rom but that doesn't seem to be happening, shame. I've used MoDaCo roms for four phones now so looking for something that'll hit the same points: stability, stock, performance. (be nie to keep the 1.5ghz speed and beats stuff as well). I'm using Revolution at the moment (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1098849), any other tips?
  10. do you get the same problem on all wifi networks or just your home network? Sounds more like you've got a bad router sadly, especially if the prob is affecting multiple devices
  11. Mores the shame. Had modaco roms on my phones since my old HTC Hero.
  12. I'd reboot the router, prob fix it
  13. So if you want 3d get this, otherwise get the Sensation, are they really that close in terms of experience?/
  14. Any point in these for someone that rooted using a goldcard?
