error: run 'nandroid-mobile.sh restore' via adb!

    Did you try mount /dev/block/vold/179:1 /sdcard ?
  2. Hello everybody! Regarding the app2s (not app2sd+) confusion: The system partition is left alone. Only APKs are moved to SD. Application data (databases preferences, etc.) remains on internal storage. Dalvik-cache remains on internal storage. That's why free space is dropping with every install, only about 50% of everything that make's up an app is put on SD. HTH Niki
  3. Hi Paul! may we please have: cd /system/xbin ln -s dropbear scp[/codebox] and [codebox]echo 'root:x:0:0:root:/root:/system/xbin/ash' >> /etc/passwd To enable scp. Thanks for your work Niki

    This will find all configured nameservers: getprop | grep dns | sed -n -e 's/\[.*\]: \[\([0-9]\{1,3\}\.[0-9]\{1,3\}\.[0-9]\{1,3\}\.[0-9]\{1,3\}\)\]/nameserver \1/ p' | sort -u

Cool. I'll give it a try tomorrow. Do you mind sharing what you did To bb? Perhaps we should just put Googles nameservers (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) into resolv.conf. Good night Niki

Can anyone confirm this? I just get a "bad address" error when trying something like "wget http://google.de". Please don't use "ping" to test, as ping is a native binary, not busybox. It's getting interesting. Have a nice day Niki

I'm not sure that's possible. You would have to replace the libc headers and object-files in your toolchain with the ones from android. I wouldn't know where to start, though. I used http://github.com/tmurakam/droid-wrapper together with a conglomerate of the android sources (to get the header's) and parts of the NDK to get some binaries (like crtend_android.o). That is enough to compile not too large projects and link them dynamically. Unfortunately busybox's build-system refused to cooperate. Perhaps it would be easier to work on androids Toolbox… I might give it another try in late February when I have some days off. Have a nice day Niki

Cool down, I regularly use httpd to access a r/o copy of my personal wiki on my Hero. Have a nice day Niki

Resolv.conf won't help. Busybox needs to be linked against android's own libc. Peace Niki
  12. Good strategy. I have an update.zip with all my customizations and apply it directly after Paul's zip…
  13. May we have a "restore all" batch, please? Thanks for your work Niki

    Updated certificate store

It's all about trust isn't it? Why should you trust my certificate store? I might have slipped in a certificate that would allow me to pretend I'm [google|microsoft|amazon], now I just would have to lure you to my faked homepage... Let's be a wee bit paranoid: You have rooted your phone, did a update.zip contain a malicious keystore? You're using Paul's roms, did he tamper with the certitficate store at one time? Pauls roms are based on the roms other people put on the net, did Paul check the store? Did you check that it always and with every update.zip was the original one? Honestly, if your phone is rooted you put a lot of things in gods hands, and if I wanted to start a scam, I would use a phone with a bigger market share. And I would find a more reliable way to part you from your money. Have a nice day Niki
