    i8000 GPS headache!

flash jf1 radio rom (you will loose nothing if you do this with Octan), allow internet connection to access xtra data, at least every 6 days.
  2. I advice you to install only JF1 phone part. Not necessary to flash PDA or CSC rom. so you won't lose anything.
  3. your gps chip asking for a-gps data forever. dial *#1472365# to run nogarder gps program. choose standalone mode, instead of MS or MS Assisted. this will cause longer ttf (time to first fix)
  4. igo8, on JH2 6.5.3 ROM just works fine without vagus's fix or registry tweak. Vagus's fix was for direct communication with gps chip. Registry tweak is just for lowering required time to first fix. I'm using JH2 (6.5.3) (first rom from post #2): http://www.modaco.com/index.php?s=&sho...t&p=1362614 Eboot_I8000NXXJH2 Phone_I8000XXJF1 MST: (the official JH2 rom) PDA_I8000NXXJH2 but CSC_I8000NXXJF4 Multi-CSC from the same post. it's 6.5 CSC but just works fine on 6.5.3 Select XEU for english CSC, then install my Turkish Keyboard cab from: http://www.modaco.com/content/i8000-verizo...m/#entry1172994 Don't be afraid, just try with stock JH2 ROM. You may try registry tweak if necessary, kafein kardeşim.
  5. You can use jf4 multi-CSC wm6.5 CSC for it: CSC_I8000NXXJF4 I'm using it without problems you can find it in the bottom of post: http://www.modaco.com/index.php?s=&sho...t&p=1362614
  6. You have to options: (1) Use, Omnia compatible panels (uses Splugins_480x800.cpr file) from here: http://www.modaco.com/index.php?act=findpost&pid=1129263 or (2) Make your titanium panel generic one (uses Titanium_480x800.cpr file) by doing below, and use generic wvga panels
  7. I exported your registry changes: REGEDIT4 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MAPI] "AttachPath"="\Storage Card\\Mail\\Attachments" "PropertyPath"="\Storage Card\\mail"
  8. if you are on wm 6.5 or wm 6.5.3 ROM then go to post: http://www.modaco.com/index.php?sho...t&p=1099269 download JoJoV1.zip http://www.modaco.com/index.php?act=attach...st&id=41151 unzip it, and copy the files LS_CallerBG.png and LS_PhoneAlertScene_480x800.cpr to \windows folder. you may need to use resco explorer to owewrite cpr file, because it is a rom file. don't ne afraid
  9. hint for users having problems with gps, and want to hard-reset device. do-not hard reset ! Just copy a new radio (phone) rom with octans. check "preserve memory". do not select any other rom file or csc. Only select radio rom (16,384 kb) file. I was playing with nogarder gps, to show something to my friend. I forget it, amd nogarder left running in the background for hours. I then forced it to close with Samsung Taskswitcher. Then my gps port dis-appeared. igo8 cannot find gps port, and nogarder gps doesn't show any gps information. I wrote Phone_I8000XXJF1.bin with octans (without hardresetting), and now my gps port appeared again. I will now check, if that radio rom really doesn't need vagus fix. I will inform you later.
  10. You cannot delete rom files, but make them hidden. You can force copying files over rom files by resco explorer. rom files don't deleted by hides. if you want to revert back to rom file, to unhide it, just rename gpsidril.dll to gpsidrilx.dll, and then delete gpsidrilx.dll now hiding rom file, shows up.
  11. I'm not sure that, current windows mobile developers are villing to port their softwares to wp7 look: http://forum.corecodec.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=3950 I mean, they may port the software to wp7 (look: http://twitter.com/corecodec ) but they are not happy with it.
  12. Is there, volume slider bug? Does it remember volume level, after muting?
  13. read post #1, http://www.modaco.com/content/i8000-verizo...anels-easy-way/ download attachment http://www.modaco.com/index.php?act=attach...st&id=43363
