  1. wow, bit quiet in this forum, huh? :(
  2. just tried the libstagefrighthw.so fix, but i think i must be doing something wrong lol although the bbc iplayer vids look ok without a green bar across the bottom, they play like a slideshow with very low framerate (literally like 1-2 FPS) :) switching back to the 5KB version of the file and framerate improves again, but the vids look like crap [edit] using opera browser
  3. if you have adb working on your pc you can type in a command window: adb remount adb shell cp /system/xbin/su /system/bin/su chmod 06755 /system/bin/su exit
  4. i just flashed the 1.4 to 1.5.1 update over 1.5 and seem to be having problems with superuser setcpu says root access not detected cifs no longer works :P [edit] found the prob, for some reason su was missing from the bin folder (symlink needed in the updater-script?) i just copied it from the xbin folder to the bin folder, chmodded it and setcpu and cifs work again *shrug*
  5. ah, nice one, that was simple heh i'd not used the power menu for so long, i forgot about it, lol
  6. used the 1.4 to 1.5 upgrade wifi is working launcher feels smoother getting a gallery 3d force close on boot don't seem to be able to boot into recovery anymore using either the gscript command or using rom manager
  7. since using setcpu to set the max clock speed to 1000 mhz i havent had another hard lockup in the last hour or so i used the kitchen myself, and it worked without any problems. i was able to unpack the boot.img, edit the init.rc and repack it again
  8. easiest way is probably to use dsixda's android kitchen: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=633246
  9. i made the suggested changes to the init.rc but i've still had a couple of hard lockups where i've no choice but to turn it off here's the modified boot.img if anyone wants to try it *shrug* http://dl.dropbox.com/u/18465580/AdventVeg...gaComb/boot.img [edit] just had another hard lockup starting playback of an avi over the network, tried to adb logcat, but adb isn't seeing any devices attached
  10. finally got round to flashing and it runs pretty well with the memory tweaks to the init.rc. really liking the fact the OS is properly formatted for tablets i've only had one complete lockup so far when installing estrongs file explorer from the market after turning off and back on again everything seems ok and estrongs is installed and working massive thank you newbe5 and Corvus for your work and continued development, you guys rock! :)
  11. great news, thanks pjjames55 :) will try flashing once the vega charges, just hope it can handle the 1.5GHz clock speed
  12. anyone tried cifs manager ? i'd like to try the rom out, but would like to know if cifs is working first.
  13. This ROM sounds great  Before I try flashing BETA1a to my Vega, can anyone tell me if CIFS is working please?
  14. I have the same problem here too. The whole tablet just locks up sometimes while loading web pages after being woken :D how did you turn off the google update notification?
