  1. Nope. Whenever I hit the "access & buy" screen I get the same error. Maybe it's because I already updated? Do I have to reinstall? I'm really curious, does no one else have this problem?
  2. Hi, guys. I've posted this in the main development thread but got no answer. Anyone else been having issues with the play store? My phone didn't update market to play store so I searched online for an updated Vending.apk and replaced the one in my phone. The play store works, but whenever I want to pay for an app there a pop "an error occurred. please try again." The same happens even when 3G is disabled so I suspect the app. I know I can browse and buy with my computer, but I have an app with a donate function that is only accessible from within the messaging app itself. Help? PDK
  3. Hi guys. I was wondering, is anyone else having trouble with the play store? I can access free apps, can't access paid ones. My O2D didn't update by itself, so i replaced Vending.apk manually three times. First two times from random (can't remember where) sites, and the third try was from the results modaco gave searching this thread. Again, it works, I just can't access paid apps. Cheers, PDK

  5. not sure if it matters to anyone, but I upgraded my sd card to a class10 16gb transcend micro sd. and energyrom froze on me. repeatedly. it froze until i pulled the card out, then resumed as nothing had happened. i figured i should reflash, and i did. but the error persued. i reflashed with the 6.5 energyrom. still the same. i then reflashed with a ms team rom and voila, the card works. (btw, i did read/write checks and used the official sd card formatter on pc) the developer probably has no intention of fixing this, but just to let anyone with the same problem know that it isn't the hw's fault. cheers
  6. i was googling around and found an interesting link - http://www.4shared.c...m_ROM_234_.html supposedly it's gingerbread for OT990. i'd like to try it out, but don't really have the courage to brick my wife's phone. also, i have next to no knowledge when it comes to android roms. so if anyone who's a bit more experienced can look at this... thx pdk PS: the user is from serbia and the filesize is cca 80MB. and the zip contains what looks to be a fastboot script, fastboot.exe and all the files required for flashing. but like i said, i don't know squat about android roms and can't verify that the files are real.
  7. Is no one else having wifi trouble? I've tried reinstalling...Just can't get past the router. My phone can "see" the router but the router won't acknowledge my phone and won't grant me internet access. Anyone? Please?
  8. Lo. Seems the non-detectable sd card issue fixes itself in time and a couple of reboots... But I'm still having trouble with wifi. I can connect to the router/modem my isp gave (can't fiddle around with it much) and access it's setup pages, but cannot access the internet no matter what I do. The router won't even list my phone's mac address under clients. Damn. And to think the whole system works so well. So stable and so fast... I don't think it's of any importance, but I have froyo on my storage. rgds
  9. I have in my storage. And the sd has only one fat32 partition. And I can't get to work no matter what I do. :(
  10. Hi huys! Any known fix for not detecting sd card? Any tips on how to fix it? :)
  11. +1 I get Vodafone Simobil in Slovenia and when I was close to the Italian border I got Vodafone IT and I couldn't manually scan for 2G/3G networks and was stuck on Vodafone IT. I guess it doesn't matter which network you're on, but just for the purpose of pointing out the issue... And yes, I fixed it by switching networks in WinMo. Does the phone, when "resumed" on android boot pick up where it left off in WinMo? I'm not sure though, but I think that if the foreign signal was weak enough, android changes back to domestic.
  12. Have a look here about which phone part works best: http://www.modaco.com/content/i8000-omnia-...ife-26-06-2011/ If you need the files just search modaco or google sam-firmware. Tutorials for flashing can be found in the WinMo ROM threads. Good luck! :)
  13. I used to barely get through the day with JJ1. even if mostly in sleep mode... Today, I unplugged the phone at 8AM (it was charging overnight) and it is now past 11.30PM, I had no calls, no texts, no nothing (rarely happens, but today it did) and I still have 82% left!! I did cheat, though. ;) Cheat #1: Phone part IL1 Cheat #2: The infamous "turn airplane mode on, wait for sleep, wait a bit, wake up, turn airplane mode off" hack. Cheat #3: CPU Tuner (pretty much standard "screen off" setting) And unbelievable. It works. After 15h 7m 28s unplugged -> Cell standby 65%, Phone idle 35% I do have a very high "Time without signal" though, 75%. But I live in an area where I have to leave the house to make a call. Still, no airplane mode, the phone was on and searching for networks. Amazing! :P
  14. You could connect it wirelessly over adb. And pretty quickly is very vague. With some very minor tweaking (i.e. installing CPU managing software) it can last a day, easy. And pretty much everything works, except for bluetooth. I have it on 90% of the time. I use WinMo only when I know that I'm going to have lots of talktime or when I need GPS... And when I take pictures, the camera is still a little shabby on android. I'd go for android any day. If for nothing else, for all the options it opens up on your phone. Just my 2 cents... EDIT: It does however help if you have some minimal knowledge of linux. And I do mean minimal - no programming or such. Simple accessing and managing partitions is enough. There are guides and FAQs for everything else.
  15. definitely works. i thought that the keyboard was a bit off before :P thanks!!
