  1. Well, if the antenna isn't strong enough to receive signal when my hand is covering it, I'm nearly certain that I want my money back. Seriously though, it didn't start doing this until I started flashing ROMs. Is there any parallel here that could have caused this to happen? I flashed back to the default shipping radio and the problem still remains. I don't remember this ever happening prior to the flashing.
  2. See, I found Handcent to be even worse than the normal messaging application. Weird.
  3. Wow, that keyboard is gorgeous. I think I'll have to give that a shot. :( How's the accuracy?
  4. At first, I thought my reception problems were a product of the ROMs that I was installing onto my phone. That doesn't appear to be the case anymore. I noticed that when I put the phone down and don't touch it, the reception bars will typically always show three or four. When I pick the phone back up, I see them drop to one or two. It's a weird and frustrating problem. Has anyone else endured this?
  5. Is anyone seeing lag in the messaging app? It's really the only thing keeping me from making this my full time ROM. And the horrifying battery life. But that could just be user generated.
  6. I love the Desire ROM, but I really just can't stand how laggy the messaging application is. They also made tiny improvements to the keyboard in 2.2 and it's now SO much more accurate. To the point where I'm typing faster than I ever did on my iPhone.
  7. That doesn't answer my question of what to use right now, though.
  8. Paul, if you don't mind my asking, what is different about this than the FroYo ROM released last weekend?
  9. At the moment, no, but it's bothersome to know that I used to have full reception in my house, and now I have one bar.
  10. I'm in a battle with myself, trying to figure out if I like 2.2 enough to use it as my default ROM or if I want to switch back to the Desire ROM, because Sense UI is awesome. Which ROM are you guys using and why do you prefer them? Keep in mind that I'm using an AT&T 3G branded Nexus One, and using the updated radio that Paul included in the FroYo ROM. Also note that Google has since announced that the released Froyo build is a test build, and will likely be upgraded for final release. Thanks guys.
  11. Wait for Paul to port the Sense onto the 2.2 ROM or flash back to the Desire ROM?
  12. I, too, installed the new radio onto my AT&T Nexus One, but I'm facing a slight problem. Although my 3G speeds tend to be incredibly faster, my reception is seemingly stuck at 2-3 bars during the time my phone is on and in places where I used to get full reception. While I'm loving the dramatic speed increase, I am afraid that the loss of reception is going to catch up with me sooner or later. Can anyone suggest anything that I can do to fix this problem?
  13. I flashed this ROM onto my AT&T Nexus One and I've been seeing faster 3G data speeds, but the weird thing is, I'm seeing less reception in places where I used to have full reception. It's strange. I flashed the radio included in this ROM and it delivers faster 3G speeds and all, but I'm kinda worried that the lesser reception is going to catch up to me eventually. Any ideas or suggestions on what I can do to make it better? I'm still debating on whether or not I want to return to the Sense UI Desire ROM, because I love the Sense so much.
  14. I'm using Paul's FroYo ROM and I also have this ROM stored away on my SD card. I like the ability of Flash in Froyo, but I really miss the Sense UI. Someone advise me on what to do.
