  1. Solved it using gfree. See procedure here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index...#Rooting_the_G2
  2. Hi All, I got a new t-mobile G2. I'm trying to root it. Visionary's temproot works well, as does the "temproot on boot" option. Permroot, however, does not seem to work. No error message, just the phone doesn't have superuser permissions after boot. I installed Koush's Rom manager, but it just can't boot into its recovery. Just the regular recovery. It seems that every reboot reverts the phone to its factory settings. Can anyone help? Thanks!
  3. Hi, I bought a T-Mobile G2 in the US and brought it to Europe. If I install MoDaCo's Custom ROM on a T-Mobile G2, will it be compatible with the European UMTS frequency bands (i.e. UMTS 900 MHz and 2100 MHz)?
  4. Thanks, all. I solved it. After spending a couple of hours on the www, I found out that ROM manager SD partitioning doesn't play well with the latest ClockworkMod Recovery (version 2.5.0.7). I rolled back to version 2.5.0.0 and everything worked B) . Thanks anyway!
  5. Hi All, I have desire, with the latest and greatest MoDaCo r9 rom, and a 8G SD card. In an effort to make A2SD work, I am trying to to partition the SD card, from ROM Manager. It asks me about the Ext Size and Swap Size, then asks me if I am sure. The it says that it was granted to the superuser permissions, and then ... It crashes and reboots the system with no apparent change to the SD card partitioning B) Please help! Jango1
  6. Hi All, I've rooted my HTC Desire with Paul's ROM and everything works well. Thanks for the good work! My question is: HTC is now pushing OTA 1.21.405.2. Is it safe to install or will it undo the rooting?
