@lonerjam your gprs consumption will be much lower if you do not download images...importante lang naman sa akin yung teksto na binabasa ko. punta ka sa option ng internet explorer, unmark "show pictures" under general options...suggestion lang po. :D

Kaya lang 18 months ang kailangan to qualify for the retention program di ba? Posted from my SmartPhone!

Less than 1 year SAP - Warranty Expired!

@kalinte, all before i give an update regarding this issue, i would like to clarify that it's my wife's phone that BP refused to fix because of their questionable "policy." my phone's fortunately still covered because it has a different serial # series. now the update... people from a certain smart wireless center in QC told me & my wife that they are indeed aware of the said HTC policy that BP is implementing. what does this mean? if your unit has an "expired" warranty based on its serial number, don't go to BP because they won't fix your SAP for free. so what do we poor SAP (supposedly covered by a 1 year warranty) users do? leave your phone at the (smart) wireless center & let them send it over to BP. in about less than two weeks time, you'll get your fixed SAP back. what else did i find out? i had to ask the wireless center to have my wife's phone returned to BP because they didn't replace the call keys as indicated in the service request. the smart csr immediately obliged to have the SAP returned to BP. however i overheard the csr arguing with someone in another room and apparently that person does not want my wife's phone sent back to BP because SMART WAS THE ONE THAT PAID FOR ALL THE REPAIRS MADE ON THAT PHONE (for it has an "expired" warranty based on its serial number & not its purchase/activation date). THEY SHOULDERED IT BECAUSE THEY CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT THE BP/HTC POLICY! i must praise smart for this sacrifice that they made just to ensure that their customers really get the after sales service that each of us deserve. pero hindi ba nila naiisip na lugi sila sa ginawang policy ng HTC/BP? hinihintay ko lang mabalik ang SAP ni misis...tapos makakarating na sa mga kinauukulan ang kalokohang ito ng HTC/BP. Less than 1 year SAP - Warranty Expired!

@kalinte just did that this morning. spoke to a contact in smart & got instructions on how to deal with the problem. the gentleman totally disagreed w/ the BP csr & said that if BP insists on implementing said "policy," he will elevate the issue to the smart marketing heads. Less than 1 year SAP - Warranty Expired!

Less than 1 year SAP - Warranty Expired!

Posted from my (soon to be sim-locked again) SmartPhone!
Heto ang batas...basahin n'yong mabuti: Chap3,Rule5,S1,Dao2,S.1993 Warranty rights can be enforced by presentment of a claim. The purchaser needs only to present to the seller either the warranty card or the official receipt along with the product to be serviced or returned to the immediate seller.Art. 68 ( RA 7394 "Consumer Act of the Philippines" ) Siguradong makakarating ito sa DTI...

UPGRADED TO SMART ROM 1.7, BUT STILL ACCEPTS GLOBE SIM

@pzee thanks pre...but would it get locked if i have it upgraded to the newest rom? @kaliente it's actually 11 months dude (kaya naghahabol ng warranty...he-he). sabi nga nila, why have it fixed when it's not broken...openline na sya at up to 2 days ang battery life, so di ko na inisip na magpa-upgrade. UPGRADED TO SMART ROM 1.7, BUT STILL ACCEPTS GLOBE SIM

@chariotz It's sad but...I would also want my SAP to be sim-locked again because of warranty claims purposes -- the joy stick is becoming more & more difficult to use + softkeys & call keys also have to be replaced. @all My SAP runs on ROM 1.3.7.8...is there anyone here who previously had an unlocked SAP w/ this ROM version then upgraded to the latest ROM? Did your SAP revert back to SIM-locked state? @ kaliente I know it's not a bright idea to have an "open-line" phone sim-locked again. However, since most of us got the SAP for free (w/ a post-paid plan), it would also be not too wise to spend around Php3K+ just to have the phone repaired, knowing well that one can have it done for free w/ an unexpired warranty.
