  1. I've just managed to flash using 1 file and now on ginger bread. Massive thanks to richardj for the help! Little tip for everyone. If you're booting on one file, you don't need to worry about the PIT and other files. Just open the phone in download mode, connect it to Odin and select the file as "PDA" and press start! I was getting confused for AGES about the other files... you just don't need them!!
  2. Hi guys Sorry for posting a newbie question, but I really want to make sure I get this right. I recently got a Galaxy S but it appears my model number prevents me from getting any support from Kies or the software update on the phone it's self. My friend who has the i9000 has been able to get an official update to Gingerbread, but as mine is slightly different I can't get it. I've upgraded the fireware on Android phones before (ZTE blade) so I got some experience in doing it, however as the model number for my phone seems to be so rare I'm really worried about getting the right ROM for it! Currently the phone is rooted and I got Clockwork ROM manager installed. I would really like to get ICS installed on it, but any upgrade from v2.2.1 (Froyo) would do. Can someone point me in the right direction for getting a ROM that will 100% work with the phone. On the boot screen it's shown as "Samsung Galaxy S SCL GT-i9003". Baseband version I9003XXKB1. Kernel version 2.6.32.9 [email protected] #1 Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks Simon
  3. Hi guys What is the likelihood of Andriod 2.3 (Gingerbread) coming out for the ZTE Blade/SF? Or is it something that could never work on this phone? P.S. I apologize if this has already been asked, but I couldn't see a topic on it.
  4. Downloaded this yesterday and it installed very quickly. Seems to be working fine with no issues. Just wondering if anyone knows any good overclocking apps for this? None of the ones on the Market Place seem to work? Simon
  5. I am using the stock dialer but it doesn't seem to work. I don't think I have that other file (chipertest.apk ) in my system\app folder (can't even find a folder called app in system?)
  6. P.S. when I try the above, I get "connection problem or invaild MMI code"
  7. Thanks for the help guys, I managed to get it back by using this stock rom - OUK_P729BV1.0.0B08 (http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blade-blade-modaco-com/318417/oled-tft-06-dec-stock-rom-downloads-online-kitchen/) I was able to search my SD card for the ZIP but it never seemed to work. I think I might be on TFT then... is there a 2.2 version for TFT?
  8. Hi I'm trying to flash my SF but I keep getting this message. Sorry for being a newbie, but what does it mean and what am I doing wrong? Formatting BOOT:... E:Board does not support mtd utils.E:Failure at line 413: write_raw_image PACKAGE:boot.img BOOT: Installation Aborted I've tried two different ROMs and I get the same message on both. Thanks Simon P.S. I think this is a OLED verison as it's black, but i'm not 100% sure.
