  1. the camera on my new galaxy core prime is very slow to take pictures in low light conditions (e.g. an indoors party) it takes about 5 to 10 sec between pressing the button and the camera taking the picture. I'm running android 5.1.1 that came with the phone (not rooted) I tried changing settings and selecting a specific iso setting, white balance and macro instead of auto focus does make it quicker, about 3 seconds. Any thoughts?
  2. GREATthis worked for me. I tried the same before but missed out step 14. I guess it's important :) Didn't even need to flash (as I'm on the latest stock rom already)
  3. GREAT the restoring your IMEI thread worked for me. I tried the same before but missed out step 14. I guess it's important :) http://www.modaco.com/topic/355974-how-to-get-your-imei-back-without-5irom-folder/page__hl__restore%20imei#entry1991922
  4. taht is exactly what happens. I of followed the guide on this forum rather than bought an unlock code.
  5. I guess I could give that a go. I do actually have a backup, but if I put the backup back I also get the simlock back so that's useless
  6. this seems to be a rather big problem when I'm abroad (cannot connect to any networks) anybody any idea how I could fix this? I tried unlocking several times.
  7. perhaps that may be it. The last step when unlocking failed. I.e. my emei is 0. this is fine for my uk network though. When I try to write the imei it just fails, the other step with that tool works though??
  8. I have my g300 unlocked following guide here. it refuses to connect to network abroad. It says that my sim card is not allowed to. In a different phone it works though. Also it does not happen everywhere. In Switserland and the Netherlands I could connect. In Sweden it took 2 days but then it worked. In france I can't connect at all any ideas?
  9. I just chedked my IMEI and it indicates 0. Everything else works fine though. Is this a problem?
  10. cheers that helped! it all worked, but I noticed my imei had not changed back, even though I worte it with DFS Tool. So I did a restore, as suggested in the 'making IMEI 0 thread'. This locked the phone again! I now downgraided again, unlcoked again and then upgraded again and now it works I would like to thank everybody in this thread forum and especially tcpaulh and aucodeguru :)
  11. eeuh yes when I do that I get the empty screen on the right of the screenshot?
  12. I simply forgot to do step 1 of the guide  . I.e. your IME needs to be made 0 or different from the original one, else that password won't be 0
  13. hurah! I finally managed to get past this step. But now I'm stuck at step 7 :( I fell really silly but I can't see any "dbAdapter Reserved Interface"
  14. lol really appriciate your help so late! my downgrade has now worked out. I had a quick try, but it still doesn't take 0 as password :( :(
  15. hhm I just noticed that I have U8815V100R001C02B936 rather than U8815NV100R001C02B936 I'll try the official downgrade from U8815V100R001C02B936 first
  16. right so the officiel downgrade doesn't work, get 'upgrade failed' message :(
  17. ok. I'm sorry if this is a silly question but the upgrade/downgrade tutorials talk about needing an unlcoked boatloader, has that got anything to do with unlcoking?
  18. I did not get to use thedownloaded stuff as I am stuck on step 3: Back to Background setting and go to Qualcomm background open setting and select background open (pass is 0 (ZERO)) 0 is the wrong password any ideas what else it could be?
  19. I just got a new ascend g300, running b936 off factory. I followed the unlcok steps but the qualcom password is not 0. anybody any ida what that password could have been changed to? I have googled around but no luck so far.
  20. This worked for me as well (it was +1 from the bluetooth) I'm very greateful you guys are nothing short of life asvers :) By the way I just used a file manager to edit /system/etc/nv_43301b.txt and 4330b2.txt rather than QPST
  21. thanks for the thought though I don't use it as it adds no security (phishing out a mac address from communications & then faking it is trivial) but a lot of hasstle.
  22. turning the phone on/off doesn't make any difference nor does turning the wifi on/off. And Gunnerzz perhps but I have yet to find a single PROTECTED network I CAN connect to. Unprotected is fine and turning my phone into a mifi (using as wif access point & connecting to it from my laptop using teh 3g) is fine as well EVEN WITH WPA2 :P
  23. This does help for a little while but imagine popping down to the hotel reception 'o can you please reset your wifi router?' Or at a foreign institute on a visit...
