  1. Well, by that logic, doesn't the last two become: 2.13.9.23 2.13.92.3 That doesn't seem to make much sense. I'd bet that these are really the same version (2.13.9.23), and only the boot loader and GSM version have changed.
  2. Hi All, I notice that there appears to be three ROM upgrades on the i-mate FTP site: JAMin_WWE_1000925_10009114_11420_ship.exe JAMin_WWE_2130923_21309112_020720_ship.zip JAMin_WWE_213923_2139123_022021_ship.zip Does anyone know which is the latest? I'm guessing it's one of the two last, but it's not clear what the version numbers are. Thanks.
  3. Well, in lieu of headphone advice, can anyone direct me to a more appropriate forum? ;-)
  4. Hi All, I've only recently started using my Jamin phone to listen to music, but I'm not happy with my current headphones. Here's my ideal, a device that: * has volume control * has prev/next track & pause/play buttons (and works with WMP) * has a microphone so that I can make/receive calls * has a call answer button * is stereo, of course * works with WMP so that the music stops when a call is received * has a 3.5mm jack so that I can use my existing, quality headphones (I HATE earbuds!) As a bonus, it would be good if it was a Bluetooth device. (I've read elsewhere that the Prophet/Jamin can be made to support A2DP, is that right?) This device appears to satisfy some of these requirements: http://www.itechdynamic.com/en/products_sp...2&pid=02041 However, it's unclear if the prev/next track buttons work with anything other than i.Tech's player software. Has anyone used the S35 with a Prophet? Any feedback? How about other devices -- does anyone know of something which will satisfy my whole list? Thanks!

  6. Thanks. Just installed it, and my device now reports: ROM version: 2.13.9.23 WWE ROM date: 2/23/06 Radio version: 1_02.20.21 Protocol version: 4.1.13.9 ExtROM version: 2.13.9.123 Windows version: 5.1.195 (build 144847.2.0.0)
  7. Did you use the "ROM Upgrade for Telstra Australia"? That appears to be the only update for the JAMin on the i-mate site (imate.com). I wonder why the "ExtROM" version is lower?
  8. Hi All, I just bought an i-mate Jamin. Can anyone tell me what the latest ROM version is, and where I can get it? Are there alternatives to the i-mate ROM? My device reports: ROM version: 1.0.9.25 WWE ROM date: 01/09/06 Radio version: 4.0.12.25 ExtROM version: 1.0.9.114 Windows version: 5.1.70 (build 14409.1.1.2) Thanks.
  9. Hi All, For the last couple of days, my phone has not been receiving SMS messages. I tried sending a test message from another phone, and nothing was received. I found a post on this site mentioning a bug in the (I think Orange) 1.6 ROM, but no follow-ups. The post mentioned that a re-boot would fix the problem. It did, but is there any way to correct this problem for good? I don't want to have to reboot the phone every time I think I'm missing messages. By the way, I only recently upgraded to Orange ROM 1.6.1.10
  10. What happened to this probject? It's been quite a while since the last post. Does anyone know if the app was finished?
  11. In case anyone is looking for the same info: I decided to download and install the Orange update (1.6), and it worked fine. After the update, the phone wasn't SIM locked, but it was software locked, so I had to use the OTA unlocking method (http://developer.orangews.com/orgspv/comdefq.aspx), which worked OK.
  12. Ignore the above. I thought this was for software unlocking the phone.
  13. This didn't work for me. I have the Orange 1.6.1.10 ROM on my Qteck 7070. It appears to login correctly, then reads the private data, says it found the unlock code, but then errors out and says that the phone couldn't be unlocked. Has anyone else seen this?
  14. Hi All, What are my options for upgrading my Qtek 7070 (This is the Australian/Optus version)? Here are my current phone details: Operator ROM: 1.4.2.46 MS ROM: 3.0.13101.0 OS Version 3.0 (build 13101) Radio Version 1.33.00 As far as I'm aware, neither Qtek, HTC, or Optus provide any kind of updates for this phone (at least Oz specific ones). I've read that the iMate ROM upgrade may work, but I can't find where to download the ROM & instructions. I tried the Orange update, but it complained that the handset was not recognised. I'd love feedback from owners of this phone on the Optus network. Thanks.
