  1. Sherlock... Nuff said.

  2. Interesting. "This item cannot be installed in your device's country". Hm,
  3. Ditto, mine creaks like hell, but it doesn't bother me. The whole battery cover is a bit cheap and creaky.
  4. Should be, but my experience and that of quite a few others has shown that the only way to correct it is with a full return to stock.
  5. Yeah, I'm not a fan of the stock browser and Chrome seems slow lately. That said, I mix and match depending on my mood :)
  6. Yep. My bootloader was locked, but it wasn't SIM-locked. I had a giffgaff SIM in within 5 minutes ;)
  7. +1, thanks. I'll have a look at this tomorrow when I'm more awake :)
  8. Guys, this is a version of TWRP which *does* work on the G510 with CyanogenMod installed. I zipped the recovery.img into the installer from somewhere else. Put your phone into Fastboot mode, run Install-Windows.bat and you're done. I installed this myself on my phone after the other version of TWRP stopped responding to screen presses after flashing CM. One thing, this version saves backups in a different folder (LEWA/backups if I remember right and not TWRP/backups) but you can move your existing TWRP backups across manually and they do restore. 9. Nope, mine's an 0100 as well and I had nothing but grief from this one. No idea why it worked for you, to be honest. I wish I did, as I like the look of this ROM.
  10. You'll have to, it's that fricking Chinese baseband again. Latest Lewa is fine with calls when installed after stock, I've been using the phone all day.
  11. Nope, that's for the G510-0200, and physically won't flash to the 0100.
  12. Done. It would be good to see. From what I can gather, the Y300 is flying off the shelves. Makes me wonder why I bought my G510 ;-)
  13. "But... it says Huawei and it looks like a Sony Xperia... *head explodes*. Yeah, I like doing that with a full iOS theme every now and then ;)
  14. You mean totally transparent? It's in the settings for the ROM I use, LeWa.
  15. To brighten up a drab rainy Sunday afternoon, let's have a look at what your current launcher/wallpaper/theme looks like. Here's mine to start, but God knows how long it'll stay until I'm bored again... :)
  16. Not my work, I found this post in the G300 forum and gave it a try. It works perfectly on the G510. If you ever hankered after an Xperia and liked the Launcher, have a look at this. I have in installed and the launcher is smooth as hell... :) http://www.modaco.com/topic/362156-2-versions-of-the-xperia-launcher-and-widgets/
  17. I posted in the MIUI thread and replied to your PM, and I'm pleased you're all sorted :)
  18. Download the G510 stock 4.1.1 ROM from here : http://www.ulozto.net/x158w7g/g510-0100-v100r001c02b170-rar From the RAR file, extract the folder called 1_SDCARD Change the name of this folder to dload and copy it to the root directory of your SD card (not inside any other folders, that is) Switch off your phone, pull the battery for 5 seconds. Hold the VOLUME UP AND VOLUME DOWN button and push the POWER button. Hold them for a few seconds, and the Huawei upgrader will kick in. It takes about 5 minutes to reflash the stock ROM completely, make sure you have enough charge. When you're done, reboot as normal and you're back to "out of the box" state, i.e. unrooted. Just follow the other guides here to root and install TWRP or CM recovery and then flash your favourite custom ROM as normal. All sorted ;-)
  19. You can sort it, I did. I flashed the official stock ROM back, then re-rooted and installed TWRP recovery again, then flashed my usual Lewa ROM. Reverting to stock gets your original baseband back.
  20. Downloaded and flashed this over the previous version - flawless upgrade, very smooth, working well so far. EDIT: Micro-bug. Status bar shows as 'NO SERVICE' but calls, data and texts all work fine :) Checking in 'About this phone' shows network OK, so it's just a status bar thing. Hardly a problem :D
  21. Hmm. Weird. Wasn't working for me. I've just reverted to stock and reinstalled TWRP, I might give it another go later. I need to put the phone down some time today... ;-)
  22. EDIT: Deleted my original comment about not having the stock ROM. Download the G510 stock 4.1.1 ROM from here : http://www.ulozto.ne...r001c02b170-rar From the RAR file, extract the folder called 1_SDCARD Change the name of this folder to dload and copy it to the root directory of your SD card (not inside any other folders, that is) Switch off your phone, pull the battery for 5 seconds.
