  1. Upgrade to Clean B18 Rooted from cwm file: http://www.4shared.c..._rooted_fr.html * Based on official ZTE V9+ firmware here. * should work on tablet ZTE Light Tab Plus (V9+) and family (V9A, MyPad P3, Megafon V9+) * no root required * install cwm first * All user programs and data will be wiped clean How to Install 1. Extract and put "2013-03-22.16.48.20" folder from zip file in "/sdcard/clockworkmod/backup/" directory on sdcard. 2. Boot to cwm. 3. Mount /system, /cache, /data dan /sdcard folders. 4. Wipe data/factory reset 5. Restore and choose "2013-03-22.16.48.20" folder. 6. One more time, wipe data/factory reset
  2. Hi guys, I made a script that make it easy to install cwm and root ZTE V9Plus. Please try it out and share: http://www.4shared.com/file/W5uAnpGI/zteV9PlusToolbox.html Thanks and Credits: Thank you to Rooting to DooMLoRD and zergRush for the rooting script. All the credit belong to them. Thank you to sos987 for the cwm. All the credit belong to him.
  3. Thanks sos987! Now with stable cwm without restart we can move on to testing custom roms (if/when there is any) without worry about brick. I am not a coder, but if you don't mind me asking, what is it in your cwm that makes it NOT restart every 2.5 minutes?
  4. Try to turn on wifi and bt, then go to settings >> about >> status and see if wifi and bt mac address are unavailable. If they are, then you might need to do this: http://android.modac...nlocked-now-up/ or this: http://android.modac...ess-on-a-blade/ I know it is for other ZTE type, but alot of them are similar. I know for a fact that the first one can be use to fix zte V9+ mac address.
  5. Sebastian. I am so glad to hear from you! :) Some people in androidforums was worried about you because what you wrote here. I know, I know, first accused of being a girl, now this :) Btw, I am the person that made cwm request to you via twitter. If you don't mind, could you post V9+ cwm source that you did somewhere, probably github, so others can continue your excellent work? Thanks.
  6. Great! I found the easist way to dump rom is from adb shell. Make sure you have at least 1GB of free space on your sdram. From windows command prompt where you put adb files: adb devices The last line should say V9PLUS_GENERIC device If it is, then continue. adb shell su If you are rooted, now there should be # sign. Now it's time to dump the partitions. You might already know that messing with dd is not very save. So you probably want to copy and paste each line to avoid typos. Wait for each command to finish before continue to the next. dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p1 of=/sdcard/mmcblk0p1 bs=4096 dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p2 of=/sdcard/mmcblk0p2 bs=4096 dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p8 of=/sdcard/mmcblk0p8 bs=4096 dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p9 of=/sdcard/mmcblk0p9 bs=4096 dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p11 of=/sdcard/mmcblk0p11 bs=4096 dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p12 of=/sdcard/mmcblk0p12 bs=4096 dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p14 of=/sdcard/mmcblk0p14 bs=4096 dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p15 of=/sdcard/mmcblk0p15 bs=4096 Last partition mmcblk0p15 is rather big about 500MB uncompressed. So it might take a while to finish. Done. Then just zip them altogether and upload it somewhere.I prefer multiupload, because that site automatically mirror 9 other file sharing sites. But any other site will do. The compressed file should be less then 200MB total. Here is an example of rom dump: C:\ZTEV9Plus>adb devices List of devices attached V9PLUS_GENERIC device C:\ZTEV9Plus>adb shell $ su su # dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p12 of=/sdcard/mmcblk0p12 bs=4096 dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p12 of=/sdcard/mmcblk0p12 bs=4096 4096+0 records in 4096+0 records out 16777216 bytes transferred in 2.168 secs (7738568 bytes/sec) # Btw, here is partition list on V9+ that I gather if you're curious: /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 dbl.mbn /dev/block/mmcblk0p2 osbl.mbn /dev/block/mmcblk0p3 /dev/block/mmcblk0p4 /dev/block/mmcblk0p5 cefs.bmn /dev/block/mmcblk0p6 /dev/block/mmcblk0p7 /persist /dev/block/mmcblk0p8 adsp.mbn /dev/block/mmcblk0p9 amss.mbn /dev/block/mmcblk0p10 /dev/block/mmcblk0p11 EMMCBOOT.MBN /dev/block/mmcblk0p12 boot.img /dev/block/mmcblk0p13 recovery.img /dev/block/mmcblk0p14 splash.img /dev/block/mmcblk0p15 /system /dev/block/mmcblk0p16 /misc /dev/block/mmcblk0p17 /cache /dev/block/mmcblk0p18 /data Thanks for your help!
  7. Hi Tai_Tony, I am glad it worked out for you :) Would you care to make a rom dump for us? I will give you the instruction if you are interested. Since your tablet is clocked @1.4GHz, we might be able to use your kernel to overclock our tablet.
  8. Thank you for the info. To root, install cwm beta2 made by sebastian404. Then from cwm, install su-2.3.6.3-efgh-signed.zip. You have to directly go to cwm menu after fastboot. Otherwise the OS will replace cwm with original recovery. In that case you have to install cwm again. You have 1.4GHz CPU? V9+ only clocked @1GHz. Is it possible that it is slightly overclocked at the kernel? Btw, would you mind making a rom dump of your tablet. I would love to compare it to other V9+.
  9. Thanks man! Unfortunately I can not download any of the files without paying. http://vip-file.com/ is pay only site as far as I can see. Do you have any other free site that I can download?
  10. I consider myself a heavy skype user. Unfortunately this rom do use loud speaker to make skype call. This can be problematic in public place. The only rom I found that correctly use internal speaker is CM7. Using this rom, Is there any setting I can change to make skype call using internal speaker? Edit: I found a solution here. Thanks to lousou76 for this
  11. Ding ding ding... we have a winner! So I install fish 'n chips from CWM, mount /data and delete bootanimation.zip. Done. No more long boot time. Thanks man!
  12. @autist are you using chinese ZTE blade or having 256 MB of RAM. Because that is exactly what happen to me with this rom. @raverrr The slow boot happen every time, not just the first boot. Could you please explain what happen when I flash fish&chip rom, and then do factory reset, wipe cache and dalvik? This is the only way I can boot normally. I am using this rom because of its fast response and long battery life. Will I loose these features by doing these thing?
  13. Sadly, chinese version only has 256 MB of RAM and attempt to unlock extra RAM will brick it. It turns out that RLS2 install OK on my blade. It just that it takes eight minutes every reboot. It reminds me of my blackberry :D From titanium backup, it shows System ROM 230 MB (120 MB free) and Internal 170 MB (160 MB free). Is there any way to make boot faster for us poor Chinese blade owner? Btw, excellent work on the ROM!
  14. Question: After flashing rom from CWM (with factory reset, clean cache and dalvic), how long does it normally takes for the first boot to finish? Mine has been showing fish and chip logo for four minutes, then the screen becomes brighter... then after another four minutes the screen goes blank like doing standby/sleep. Pressing power wakes up the screen to the same logo. The same thing happen to me with RLS1 as I report here. I am using ZTE Blade China version with 256MB RAM. Does it matter? Could some kind soul please tell me what did I do wrong? Edit: after a while, I pull the battery and let it start again. This time it successfully goes to android os. I don't know what happen, I am just glad that it finally installed. Time to make CWM backup...
