  1. I have had no issues installing this. I will try and recreate the issue you are having and see about fixing it, but for now you can just flash the kernel from here once the ROM is installed. The error you are getting is the kernel not installing. Seems like the ROM is installed but fails at flashing the kernel.
  2. Yeah it should. I am 99% sure it will work with CM7, but make a backup before trying. That not 100% true. I had to make a few changes to get Beats working on the TMV. If you look a few post in on this thread I did say about I couldn't get Beats working on the phone. I have now fixed that.
  3. Here is the fix for Bluetooth audio, it also adds Beats Audio. http://www.mediafire.com/?c7yovux1afzbw1y
  4. I would also like to thank the Acer MT community too. The Acer was my first real Android phone and this was the first Android community I got involved with. I loved the phone and the community but as the Acer MT won't be getting ICS I now have the Atrix. Been running it a Month. The firmware it comes with sucks lol, so built my own :) . I am finding that I am missing the Acer MT. Its funny the Atrix is a much more powerful phone but with 3d using TechnoLover's Kernel with the changes I made to the Performance Rom it out performs the Atrix in a few 3d benchmarks and matches it for many of the others. Just goes to show how well the Acer MT was put together. What I really miss about the Acer is the Music player. The sound on the Acer is MUCH better then the Atrix. Do really miss that. I used the Acer as a music player all the time. My new setup:
  5. I am sorry to inform you that development on all my ROMs for the Acer MT has ceased. I do still have access to the device but I have been running the Atrix for the last Month so don't use the Acer anymore. The ROMs that I have started are all open meaning anyone can grab them and do what you like to them. You don't have to ask me if you can modfiy them and re-release them. As the Acer MT isn't going to be getting ICS I see no point in using it anymore. People may try to port ICS to the handset but without Acer releasing official ICS drivers for the MT its going to be buggy.
  6. I don't own this device yet but I will do very soon. I tried posting this on XDA but the site has logged me out and I can't get back in so am posting here. Been looking around at rooting this phone and seeing what I could get out of it if I did. Nothing has really interested me to the root the phone. I would of rooted it for CM7 or MUIU roms but as I am getting the Laptop Dock with the phone I wouldn't be able to use the webtop as both of these roms don't have that feature. When I was looking into the Webtop I came across this post about installing ubuntu apps onto webtop. This did get me interested. Looking into it this seem like it only works with a very dated version of Ubuntu (jaunty) because this was the last version that had armhf support. As Ubuntu 12.04 was just released I decided to see if this version has got a armhf repo that could be used, and indeed it has. deb http://ports.ubuntu.com/ precise main restricted universe multiverse deb http://ports.ubuntu.com/ precise-updates main restricted universe multiverse deb http://ports.ubuntu.com/ precise-backports main restricted universe multiverse deb http://ports.ubuntu.com/ precise-security main restricted universe multiverse deb http://ports.ubuntu.com/ precise-proposed main restricted universe multiverse The really cool thing about this repo is it has apps like XBMC that should just work with the device. And then it hit me. This must be the repo that the Ubuntu for Android that Canonical was showing off a few Months ago must be using. [media=] So I decided to have a dig around the repo when I came across this: abootimg. So this is a pretty good tell tell sign that this is indeed the Ubuntu for Android that Canonical has been demoing. As I have said I don't own the device yet but if someone wants to check this out to see if this is indeed the Ubuntu for Android repo that would be awesome.
  7. I have had ago at porting both Xloud and BeatsAudio. BeatsAudio is just a no go. No way of getting that working. Xlound kinda works but is very unstable and does make some music/sounds sound really odd. The phone has just got poor hardware so the only thing that can be done is to increase its max loudness. As Dazzozo points out this can be done in the kernel. But this is just going to oversaturate the sound issues even more.
  8. @BenTheHuman This launcher has everything you are after but I would overclock the phone to get the best out of it. Its been ripped from the Sony Xperia S. Video of it in use. Just flash this with CWM. Launcher.zip
  9. That makes two of us. I have no clue what the hell he is on about. But Lens_flare does like starting arguments with a devs.
  10. There are Mediafire mirrors up. Just get it from there if you are having issues.
  11. They knew this was probably going to happen. When they first went to court with Oracle they stated Google Dart: http://googlecode.bl...ctured-web.html http://www.2ality.co...art-launch.html http://www.dartlang.org/
  12. The total size of the launcher is 950.6 kB. Its using 6MB because I have dedicated that much memory for it (for widgets etc.) so that it will never cash or close when the phone runs low on memory. The launcher will always have 6mb to itself that other apps/system files will not be able to use. Basically the home is locked into memory.
  13. It no bigger then other launchers bar. To accesses the menu draw you slide it up so it doesn't need a button. Because there is only 4 icons instead of the normal 5 it make it look bigger then it is. This video was done on my Acer but both ROMs are using the same launcher. The main differences is this ROM does not have the Acer Bubble notifications.
  14. OK I will change the image when I get hold of the phone again. I haven't got it with me so will do it later on. I would just remove the image now but its showing off a feature. I will get a new screen shot up soon to replace it. Everything is working apart from the front facing camera. But to be honest the front camera image quality is really bad and Skype don't do a version that works on arm6. So I am not really sure what you would use it for. Apart from that the ROM runs great. #EDIT New screen shot up.
  15. Its a cover of a best selling book (Auschwitz: A Doctor's Eyewitness Account). Its the 3rd biggest grossing autobiographie of 2010 to 2011 and is a New York Times Bestseller.
  16. It only does it on the first boot or if it is needed. #!/system/bin/sh SLEEP=120 if [ -e /data/.battery-calibrated ] ; then exit 0 fi ( while : ; do LEVEL=$(cat /sys/class/power_supply/battery/capacity) CUR=$(cat /sys/class/power_supply/battery/batt_current) if [ "$LEVEL" == "100" ] && [ "$CUR" == "0" ] ; then log -p i -t battery-calibration "*** LEVEL: $LEVEL CUR: $CUR***: calibrating..." rm -f /data/system/batterystats.bin touch /data/.battery-calibrated exit 0 fi # log -p i -t battery-calibration "*** LEVEL: $LEVEL CUR: $CUR ***: sleeping for $SLEEP s..." sleep $SLEEP done ) &
  17. V0.5 Released New boot up screen. New Theme. Extra apps installed like BBC iPlayer and Vevo (can be removed easily if you don't want them) Auto Calibration of the battery on boot. 3D animations Plus ICS Themed Widgets
  18. Its linked in the main post. He don't like it if you use it and don't say you are. I have clearly said its in use and link to it. Edit: raverrr As I won't be doing that many updates to this as I don't own this phone anymore. I will post all the scripts changes I made so you can use it in your ROM. ZTE-Tweaks.zip The only thing I would of liked to add but couldn't get working is beatsaudio. There is a download link for it here.
  19. Narcissistic much? I have no clue how or where you have got this idea from. Making a claim that I have the fastest ROM isn't trashing other peoples work. Its a feature that this ROM has. It runs fast so why wouldn't I let people know that? The downfall of making it run fast is its slow booting. So that is an issue with it. It also has a problem with front camera being upside down. This ROM is far from perfect but it is very fast and will do well in benchmarks. Also why would I trash other peoples work? Honestly I don't care what other people are doing. I gave my Vivacity to a family member and decided to build a custom ROM for them. Once I made it I decided to share it. I am a Linux developer (google my username) so only do this as a hobby.
  20. Thanks :) New release with screen shots in second post showing off the Acer media wheels.
