when the battery power is getting at less then 15% you get the notification that you need to plugin your adapter or usb cable so far so good however when you have rebooted your phone within that period I noticed that you can enter your pin code for your simcard then you get the notification screen which you can't get rid off you get a grey background and that's it after a second reboot I noticed it hangs on the screen where you need to enter your pincode to register your simcard to the network or ignore. it would be very nice if you could get rid of that screen to register your simcard. just to avoid angry and frustrated towards the phone :P
  7. if you use any customized rom on your acer ferrari your battery will be flashing non stop. thanks to Nadeemk I was able to solve this problem please read this first http://code.google.c...es/detail?id=93 in my case I am working actually with twrp and CM9 1 boot into recovery and make a full backup 2. start your phone 3 download the malez recovery with the img for acer ferrari. http://code.google.c...ri.img&can=2&q= 4 flash the acer ferrari recovery onto your phone. 5 with the acer tools you flash the binfile you find it in the original solution of Nakeemk 6 after the flashing you boot the phone make sure that the usb debug mode is enabled in your settings menu 7 flash the twrp recovery(in my case) back on your phone 8 shutdown the phone 9 boot into recovery 10 restore previous made backup just restore the backup without wiping anything!! 11 reboot the system and your battery status should be correctly shown
  8. I have been in contact with several Helpdesks (Benelux and UK) in order to get the Kernel source Code for my Acer Liquid E Ferrari. The Only thing the Benelux Helpdesk could come up with was the Kernel Source Code for the Acer Ferrari Mini which is clearly not the same. The Benelux Helpdesk keeps on telling me that they don't have it and they can't provide me with the requested source code. Since their support website is crappy and doesn't want to work properly I found an email adres to the UK helpdesk. After writing them a mail or 2 I still got the same answer back that they are not able to help me out and give me the requested Kernel Source Code. Since We would all like to have a Custom Rom with a correct working Battery indicator I sent out a mail to the [email protected] in order to see what can be done to solve this matter. I also put the UK helpdesk in CC, so they know that I mean business. If you also want your acer Ferrari to work properly don't hesitate to sent out an mail with your complaint to the above mentioned email adress. thanks for your reading and support if you want your acer Ferrari to work correctly. I keep you posted when I receive any updates concerning this matter.

and which rom are you using I have 20120922 version

    [CM9] Cyanogenmod 9 for LiquidA1/LiquidE

My findings sofar: It's very fast rom which is positive negative things 1. asking to enter a code to get your simcard connected to the network (if you ignore this the phone starts up normaly and works correctly 2 the battery led continues to flash (known issue, is up to the user to accept it or not) 3 USB mass device is showing the options to connect or disconnect but there is nothing happening on the pc (tested on windows and linux) 4 cm7 you had the choice between usb mass device and debug mode, I have both indicators on my status bar which might be the cause that the USB mass device isn't working properly.

Well it's up to you to be disapointed or not however you should read the first and second post before you start complainingif you have read all the notes after finishing the flashing part you should have seen that it could take up 5 min before the phone starts up. secondly you say some stupid launcher is starting up doing something you don't like, yet again if you have been reading the first 2 posts of this thread correctly you should be aware that they can be removed and replaced by something that's more suitable for the user of the phone. Point 4 if you don't like the bootanimation you are free to change it, and also this was mentioned in one of the posts within this thread, And if you really want to be safe then indeed you should go back to your stock 2.2 and don't bother wipe your phone again and try a custom rom yet again before you made up your mind and start to complain about something that you really don't want to have in the first place.

I don't have other problems, I just have a battery indicator that is not working but that's a known issue, and when starting up the screen blinks a few times before it gets to the boot animation screen other then that I'm a happy camper
