"Cant find application"

Ok this started to happen lately.

1. All of the sudden when I "click" on an application to start I get the error "Cannot find application or one of its components...". The weird part, is when I click "Ok" and try one or two times more, the application eventually starts!! This happens to applications that are installed on my Sandisk 256MB SD Card. Again, this happens Sometimes!

2. Sometimes again, when I try to play a wmv or wma directly from File Explorer, Windows Media reports that "Windows Media Cannot play this file" but when I go through windows media playlist it plays just fine.

This started to happen one week ago with no software change at all. Has anyone else experienced this problem and maybe a solution? (Hard reset has given no results)

Device: Motorola MPx220 (Cingular) Unlocked

Firmware: 1.30 (1.030)

My guess would be dodgy contacts to the storage card.

Isn't that a known problem with the MPx220 ? I'm sure I've read something about it in this section.

The same SD card works fine on my SP3i.. What bothers me is that the application does start after 2-3 attempts. I don't believe it's a problem with the contacts (on the SD card at least).. I'll search the forum again if there's a similar post..

I encountered similar symptoms when I upgraded from the supposedly bad firmware (.325) to 1.3. After I reboot my phone, it takes a few tries for it to see the storage card, and I've talked to others who have had these issues and they mostly are with the Sandisk 256MB MiniSD Card. I've gotten in the habit of "kick starting" the Storage Card after I reboot. I go into File Manager and keep selecting on the Storage Card and then something else until I see my files show up on the card. Usually after that it is fine.

The old .325 firmware worked flawlessly with my Sandisk card.
