Guest The Doctor Posted January 26, 2007 Report Share Posted January 26, 2007 (edited) It's not gonna happen i'm afraid :D P This is a bit like the hermes GPS debate over at XDA-Dev's The Hermes HAS the qualcomm 6275 chip, the same as the HTC trinity, they also share the same radio, so the Hermes DOES have GPS somewhere inside it. Also some replacement DLL's in the windows folder are required to 'activate' COM9 (GPS port on trinity) The same may be true for the Compact III on a few levels: Idea 1: The Compact II HAS wifi hardware but is disabled in the radio/ '/windows' Idea 2: Its missing the relevant chips much like the C600, you can actually open one up and see the space on the board for the chips.
