Can someone with JE5 (WM6.5) try to turn on the Etiquette mode and see if it mute the sound when the phone is flip face down please. That feature used to work on JE2 but not anymore on JE5.

TIA

It worked on Newforce ROM: "NFX-JF5 Lite rom - 8MB pagepool with most Samsung apps intact, this is a WM6.5 rom"

Customized i8000 WM6.5 Lite ROM (English version only)

JB1 - JB3 - JC1 - JC2 -21897 - Euro JC1 - JD4 - JE2 - JF5

I originally intended to make this Lite ROM for my own use.

However, I decided to post it and share with the community.

I have increased free ram and the base ram by changing the

PagePool to 8MB.

For wallpaper customization please visit: Wallpapers

Thanks to Lancez, Previa and Contable for the wallpaper thread.

I take no responsibility for you flashing this ROM. It works for me.

Note:

- This is a Lite version. Your memory/mileage may vary.

- Flash with Octans v2.14 - been using this since it was released

- The only reason I use Rapidshare for upload is I'm a premium user. I have plenty of space and

links can retain foreever as long as there is someone downloading. Most importantly, you don't

have to wait a second to download like other free websites. I usually monitor my downloads so

it would be nice to avoid mirrors. However, I allow mirrors but will not update them.

Thanks:

- twu2 for links to JF5

- Rodrigofd and Wes who initiated this customized ROM project

- Gig and those Chinese cookers for first ROM customization and tools

- Sorg for his dump tool and information

- PDAMobiz ROM Tool Developer (mrtoto)

- All PDAMobiz ROM Cookers

- Dande for his power_on/off screens and welcomehead.192.png screen

- Tacchan23 for remembering some things I forgot about

- Joris Heirbaut for his diff/patch utilities

A special thanks to Wes58 for his RomTool program and all the help he has provided me.

If I missed anyone, please PM me so I can add your name.

Question, when you say "Disabled File Signing/Certificate checking" does this mean that I can't install java apps? I currently have that problem when I install jar files. I always get "<application name> cannot be installed. The authentication of certificate is failed. Contact your application provider to correct this situation."

Then afterwards, it deletes the file. Help please, anyone! Thanks!

Hello GC.

Thank you very much for the great ROM.

It is my first time flashing the phone and i am delighted with it. it is so much more responsive than the default one that was on the phone; JA1.

I am sure that I will have many questions once I have got into playing around with it.

Thanks.

Hello,

One thing I have noticed with this ROM is the text is much larger in the Contacts list and in emails. Would somebody be able to tell me where the size of this text can be adjusted?

Thanks.

When I press button hexagonal button I get error: The file " cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with...

What should I do to fix this?

You need to assign the button a program to launch.

I am having the same problem that is being experience by others, but i cannot find a solution anywhere. I want to install the Gmail program, which runs on Java. When I try to install it I get the error message: "Gmail cannot be installed. The authentication of certificate is failed. Contact your application provider to correct this situation" I found somewhere the Gmail certificate: www.verisign.com/cgi-bin/support/rootcert/getrootcert.cer and installed it, but it still does not work. How do I enable the acceptance of certificates that do not work, or should I install another version of Java?

Thanks in advance.

Your IMEI is part of the phone not the operating system. Sounds like you may have a virus.

Thank you for your wonderful ROM.

In my opinion, this is the most complete ROM. It is clean and fast. It's close to the official ROM from Samsung without unnecessary things. It still includes most Samsung applications for most users. I've tried 6.5.3 ROMs from Gary Crutcher and other Cooks but I still prefer the performance and stability of 6.5. Of cause, wm 6.1 will be the best when it comes to performance and stability but it's not finger friendly at all. :)

I really love your ROM and I was wondering if you could update this 6.5 ROM to the latest build. :P

Hope you and your family are well.

Thanks again.
