What are the chances of getting vanilla android 2.1 for the pulse? Would we have to wait for a vanilla leak (like we did for 1.5) or is it actually possible remove Canvas (in the same way that you can remove SenseUI)?

BigBear - I'll interested to hear if the compilation of eclair goes anywhere exciting!

Oh and has anyone tried swype on 2.1? I've become somewhat dependent.

I had a panic last night when I found I couldn't restore to 1.5. I still find that when I re-flash the december 1.5 ROM it fails with an error at line 3, and when I try to reflash the 1.7 MCR it goes into a permanent reboot cycle.

I'll just add this again in case anyone else has this problem - before you start flashing any ROMs, quickboot into recovery mode, and go into backup/restore, and do a NAND backup (I did NAND + ext).

Booting into recovery mode (red button + menu held down whilst turning it on), then doing a NAND restore seems to recover the 1.7 MCR correctly with no problems.

I don't know why reflashing the 1.7 doesn't work (for me) but the NAND backup and restore does. Just to re-iterate, Do a NAND backup.

What does "LONG first boot" mean? This one is booting since around 5 minutes.

Can someone run neocore, if i remember right Sir Bobo originally got a score of mid 20s on the version without MDC alterations.
