Bluetooth 2.0 or 2.1??

I was checking the ZTE uk web site and noticed the specs claimed the Racer gen1 Bluetooth was version 2.0.

I am pretty sure this is wrong because Bluetooth file transfers from Racer to PC are much faster than my other phone which is certified Bluetooth 2.0.

I checked a few other web sites and they pretty much mirror the ZTE information which could be the result of blindly copying from other incorrect sources.

So I fired up a Linux box and scanned my phones with the "hcitool" Bluetooth tool:

Has someone messed up the specifications or did the early Racers come with Bluetooth 2.0?

Also (and slightly unrelated) what CPU is shipped with the gen2 Racer ZTE don't mention this on their web site for some reason.

Actually I think it's Bluetooth 2.0 +EDR (enhanced data rate) not Bluetooth 2.0 the data transfer rates is too fast to be just Bluetooth 2.0

Not sure why the hcitool is detecting my phone as Bluetooth 2.1 perhaps it can't tell the difference from 2.1 and 2.0+EDR?

Now, as I understand it, "Link Management Protocol" version is not necessarily equivalent to major Bluetooth version.

Nevertheless, from the printed manual that came with my phone, under "Technical Specifications"...

"Connectivity: Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR. WiFi 802.11b/g."

So I'm still a bit intrigued. Bluetooth is unworkable on my gen1 racer running any 2.3 rom I've tried. I can't ever send a file > ~20kB, and smaller transfers are very hit-and-miss. I haven't find any discussion of this on the forum, so I just want to check. Is that the same for everyone else or could there really be minor differences between rebranded versions of the phone?

Wifi and Bluetooth don't play nice with Cyangenmod for some reason the Atheros Bluetooth Filter never gets launched when Bluetooth is enabled it does with the Stock 2.1 ROM though.
