Modem Verbindung via IRDA in CH

Guten Tag

Sorry, can't answer in english (french maybe?). I have successfully connected using either Orange GPRS or Swisscom GPRS. The Modem string, for Switzerland, should be changed to :

for Orange: +cgdcont=1,"IP","internet","0.0.0.0"

for Swisscom: +cgdcont=1,"IP","gprs.swisscom.ch","0.0.0.0"

For Swisscom, you additionaly have to set DNS parameter in IP configuration. Values are:

164.128.36.34

164.128.76.39

For the other parameters, you can use the one described in other posts.

Thank you jacoch

It works now thanks to you but only on poor 9.6Kb. Any idea how it could go faster?

In uk, you can pay orange £5 month to get HSCD

this gives speed roughly equivalent to an analogue modem (I think its about 44kbit digital)

works ok...
