Could these guys be any more blatant? :) Stephan Schmidt from Smartphone-Web is over in Singapore for the CommunicAsia event and has snapped some juicy pics of some of TechFaith Wireless' upcomming devices. Oh, one other thing, they bear a striking resemblance to some very popular devices.... <_> TFW's take on the Motorola SLVR apparently has 512MB onboard memory ( :) ), a measley 1.3MP camera, a miniSD slot (internal/external?) and will be tri band. No QVGA though! Their version of the Samsung i320 will run Windows Mobile 5.0 for PocketPC (not Smartphone) and therefore will have a touchscreen. No further details available on this as yet. They also had a rather cheap and tacky looking clone of the HTC Universal knocking about. Again, no further details available on this as yet. I just hope they're well made, reliable and make it over to our little part of the world. Oh and as for the "optional" stuff, they are an ODM so the options are probably for the carriers. If I recall the thinking back then was that the memory is reported in Mb not MB, so 512 Mb of ROM or RAM is actually 64MB, the same as everyone else. Note how practically none of the devices we've seen are actually seen working. My guess would be that they are "testing the water" to see how carriers pick up on their designs, and only very few will actually make it to the production line.
