Guest lite blue Posted May 10, 2007 Report Share Posted May 10, 2007 (edited) I am having a problem with my qtek 8500 flased to imate rom. I am getting static from the speakers and from the heaset jack. Phone calls are okay, but the ring and any media player sound exteemly distorted with severe static. I have had the phone for over a year with no problems. Intermittantly i would get static which resolved with a soft reset. Now the static is constant and soft reset does not help. Fortunately, the sound is still normal through my bluetooth stereo headset. It is not just the speaker because the headset jack also produces static. I have searched the forum with no luck.
