i320 won't work with ActiveSync

Hi

I've just bought an i320 which I'm very happy with except it isn't picked up by ActiveSync on my PC. The USB connection is working as I've pinged the static IP and all packets were received. The TCP/IP properties are showing no packets received though and although i've tried shutting down the anti virus and the firewall nothing seems to be working. I've also downloaded the driver packages from Samsung which haven't changed anything either.

I've really hit a wall now and could do with some help, has anyone had the same experience?
