£399.99 (free delivery) - play.com

Not bad!

P

Great price if it is UK spec and in stock! Shame the site insists on loading a flash video - I can't see it on my GPRS connection! They've done themselves out of a sale as I can't load the page....

Hehe, no, just trying to help out a fellow member!

P

Appreciated! Seriously considering it. I'll have a cup of tea and work out if any of my contracts are due an upgrade anytime soon then see what my unlocked p6500 might get on fleabay. (Not getting on with that BTW. Horses for courses and all that but it's just too darn big for everyday use!)

Ooh nice spot!!

I have an affiliate thingie with Play.com for my xbox site, wonder what the % comission is... :D

Is Jersey part of the EU?

Would Play.com handle any warranty issues in a favourable way?

Gonna have to wait till the end of the month for mine :-(

I'd assume they'd be covered, might be worth asking. Only 'Joiseee' I've been to was many miles away...and I never asked questions about 'warrantees' when buying stuff ;-)

" Hey buddy, you soiled your pants?

- Soiled dem? I only just bouight dem!"

Sorry. I'll get me coat.

Does anyone know off hand what the difference is between the T-Mobile version and the HTC version apart from the obvious operator custumizations? I have an upgrade for when it is released on T-Mobile but the wait is killing me plus I hate the T-Mobile branding and like the looks of the HTC version better also.

Decisions, decisions! HELP

Question for all those with Touch Diamond up and running, how much of the RAM do you use on a regular basis? I want to know how much of a hinderance the reduced RAM 128MB of the Compact IV will be compared to HTC Touch Diamond.

The T-Mo version has slight styling differences (more rounded, different back) and a T-Mobilified TouchFlo 3D. Other than that, same spec.

I read that the system RAM was reduced to 128MB from 192MB on the Compact IV

Have you listened to the Podcast?

Paul said 64Mb of the ROM is on the chip so only 128Mb is available on the Diamond so I think they are both actually the same.

Paul and Mono also don't like the diamond back as it makes the device wobble when on a desk - which shouldn't happen with the flat back of the Compact IV

Not that I know of. It's VERY unlikely.

i went into kamla on Tottenham Court Road yesterday

they had them in stock for £429.

i had a quick play and the coverflow / touch thing seemed very very slow

there was some screen protector on it -so that may of been hampering things.

:D
