Widgets and power use

Seems like some widgets are really power hungry, and must be the reason why there are so large differences in how long the battery last for different users. When my girlfriend started to use my Hero with 2200 mah battery it went from around 8 hours with me and up to around 48 hours! When I first got my Liquid it lasted around 8 hours, after a lot of tweaking I managed to get it up to around 12. But when I saw what happened to my old Hero I started to wonder what the reason could be. I then removed the Facebook widget, the Twitter one, a currency one and a weather one. Now I only have one weather widget that update each hour and 3 weather ones that update once each day. And now it seems that my battery will last for around 24 hours.
