I am very new to Android especially to Sam-Galaxy, I love this phone but i am getting into a lot of issues like with PC. I am trying to sync my address book from PC to Galaxy but the phone is not identified.

1. Used New Samsung PC studio

2. Connect Galaxy to the PC using USB

3. PC studio identified but only two memory card like icons displayed(not the Phone icon)

4. I cannot see any mobile devices in the sync settings--> target settings (select mobile device)

Please help to sync my mobile with PC to import the contacts.

I have attached the screen shot too

Thanks in Advance.

Hey Aravindksk,

You should forget about using New PC Studio for anything else then to update the Firmware of the phone. The program is useless for anything else.

To sync contacts I would advice you too export your contacts to file and import them into the Gmail account your phone is connected to. That way your phone syncs your contacs from your Gmail.

1. The phone ICON appears on the new pc studio but when i click on it it says drive not accessible

2. In Phone sync settings it appears as (I7500 - Phone not supported)

3. Any way around to fix this

Is there any third party utility software to back up and replace with the mustymod-rom-android-2-0

Thanks in advance.

Hi Aravind,

Even i m facing the same issue. The New PC Suite is not able to identify my new Samsung Galaxy. Also, when i set the the "Mass Storage Only" option, I was not able to access the memory cards (internal + external).

I am thinking of flashing the ROM with odin in a few days..

Give it up. New PC Studio does not work with Galaxy. You cannot sync or backup.

Yup. There is no use trying. The bundled software with the phone is useless. I tried unsuccessfully for a month now!!

The only way to update the firmware is through Odin by getting the newer ones from androidforums.com

Or if you are feeling a little more "adventuresome", you can try the Mustymod ROM.

I tried that. Does not work and here is the reason: galaxy S is recognized by KIES, however it says " the phone does not accept this service''. no matter for what I try: contacts, messages, calendar...

Could not get an official answer from Samsung yet!
