Hi there,

I'm having trouble restoring my N1.

I'm on OSX. I've downloaded the stock zip but I can't find any system.img in the zip. Just the boot.img

How can I flash that damn thing on my N1... it's making me crazy

Can someone confirm, the radio that came with FroYo is the same radio from 2 months back? 32.26.00.24U_4.04.00.03_2?

Thanks.

Paul if I use the stock rom with superboot, will I still be able to receive OTA updates? If not, what are the advantages of using the stock ROM vs a custom rooted rom like your r19 or cm 5.0.7.1?

If you flash using the images download you can also flash the recovery.

fastboot flash boot boot.img

fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

fastboot flash system system.img

fastboot erase cache

fastboot erase userdata

Job done!

HI all i have just a question... i bought a nexus one with cyanogen mod but i want to make it original with 2.2 froyo software... i write down with my adb ok all you write before :

fastboot flash boot boot.img

fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

fastboot flash system system.img

fastboot erase cache

fastboot erase userdata

and then i make wipe (because before this the phone was looping at start) and is ok . now why i don't see OTA update ? my firmware and radio are this :

nexus one pvt ship s-on

hboot 0.33.0012

microp-0b15

touch panel synt0103

radio 4.04.00,03_2

dec 17 2009

is already original or cyanogen mod is present ?

thanks

Any idea on when FRF85B will be available in image format? My phone won't process update.zip and won't even boot after the OTA update from bone stock EPE54B. THIS SUCKS!

I agree,

Paul is there an ETA on FROYO passimg availability?

Europe really need it cause of EPF21B and EPF30 stock ROM :\

It's the only way to upgrade as of now.

Hope to read something new from you soon.

Thanks for your work :)

I'm trying to download the ERD79 Stock image but the download always stops after 30mb? It will not download the whole thing? I also tried the EPE76 and the same thing happened - stopped after exactly the same 30mb's downloaded!

Anybody help?

EDIT: Scratch that...just some weird thing going on with Win7 - downloads fine via my Mac??

Gotta hate BillG :-/

Paul, i just tried to apply your patch over my r21 (which is FRF91, right ?)

FRF91->FRG83 patch zip - DOWNLOAD (ROMraid Load Balancing) - MD5: 18436432bfce78d4b122791fcd6699bd

But this .zip is not signed (i have amon recovery)

What can i do ?

It is, but it's signed with production keys not test keys for the stock recovery (it's an official update zip).

You need to either disable signature checking or use a stock recovery!

I baked a FRG83D with radio option, updated my Nexus One and them looked for the Radio and cannot found it. Is it the radio working on N1? Where is it located after update?

Thanks!

Is anyone else running into problems with Solve Media crap? I haven't been able to get past it. I thought you just needed to type in whatever it showed? It keeps asking for more and more - WTF? It's driving me insane.

Hello,

I'll unlock my bootloader but I'm downloading the original files to backup to stock at anytime. So, I downloaded "EPE54B image format" that was my original rom when I bought my N1.

My doubt is when I install a custom recovery. Can I use adb commands with "recovery.img" avaliable in "EPE54B image format" to revert to a stock recovery? Or should I download other file?

Sorry for my noob question and my poor english...

You can fastboot flash the recovery image from the stock build over a custom recovery to revert back, if your bootloader is unlocked.

Hi. I have a Nexus One bought from Vodafone (instead of being "passion" it's "passion-vf"). I rooted it, tried some roms (Cyanogenmod, etc.) but I want to go back to Android Stock.

If I flash this rom, will it be "no brand" (will I recieve updates like a USA Nexus One?)?

Will the phone work in Europe?

To use "fastboot flash boot boot.img" and other commands, do I have to unlock my bootloader (It's locked, rooted without unlocking it).

Do I have to flash userdata.img?

When I'll flash this, will I be able to normally upgrade to Gingerbread using OTA updates?

Hi Paul,

I need to know that what is the easiest possible way to flash / install this ROM on N1.

I have CWM 7.0.0.3 as recovery and I am quite comfortable with it - may I use it for flashing stock image?

Else, what are the steps? I need bit more details.

thanks.

This topic provides downloads of the stock ROM for the Nexus One.

I would advise reading through all of the options available before downloading to ensure you get what you are looking for! Enjoy - i'll update this topic as and when new ROM releases become available. :)

Image Format

This is the original secure signed zip from HTC. It contains all of the images for the various partitions on the device, which can be flashed via fastboot. To flash, extract and use the command 'fastboot flash partition imagename'. For example, to flash the boot image, use 'fastboot flash boot boot.img' and to flash the system partition use 'fastboot flash system system.img'. If you do not have a copy of fastboot, you can grab it here.

Use this download if you want to return your phone to completely, original, stock state.

Superboot images

If you would like to use the stock ROM but would like either root access or an insecure boot image (for adb remount permissions), then visit the superboot topic.

Official update patch zip

If you are on a completely stock ERD79 device (including stock recovery image), you can use the official ERE27 update (this is the same as the OTA update). Just download it, put it on the SD card named update.zip, launch recovery (power on with volume down held), press power and volume up when the warning triangle icon appears then select 'apply update.zip'. Sorted.

Online Kitchen

The online kitchen below allows you to create a custom update ZIP with the components you require. The image is still stock, you just have the option of leaving out the bits you don't want. For expert users, the option to include either an insecure boot image or the superboot root boot image (with or without himem) is included. The radio image can also be included.

Enjoy! :)
