Edit: I know its hard to expect answers for someone who just popped in a thread with 0 posts i know people need to work their rep n stuff im a forum user ;D sorry to get off topic but i just wanted to say this, safe

got it xD i feel stupid

To Nesousx: im not sure if you did but you have to install the CyanogenMod 5.0 first, just search for it on google (i didnt want to post a link since im not to aware of the policies)

now after flashing CM it worked fine!

for other people: i use a 16gb 6 aswell, no problem

Many Thanks Paul

Haha thanks, feel stupid as well.

This mean I have to wipe the MCR and replace it with CyanogenMod?

Yeah, the CM flashing guide at XDA says you have to wipe before flashing CM

I did nand -> wipe -> flash stock -> wipe -> CM 5 -> gapps just to be safe :)

Well I've got to admit this is amazing....

For your info, my phone is working FANTASTICALLY well and VERY quick.

I have over 100 apps installed.

This is the route I took.

Nandroid backup (just in case)

Wipe dalvik

Wipe data

flash CM 5.0 Beta 2

reboot phone and check all is working

flash GAPPS addon

reboot phone again and check all is working

flash Modaco kerel/JIT pack

reboot phone and hold on to your knickers!

I've also got Navigation wokring in the UK again.

flashed with 32 and JIT, everything works. the speed improvement is amazing

but speed does come at a cost for me, i noticed my battery level decreased about 40% over the course of 2 hours with light usage(i was sitting in class most of the time), and the phone randomly restarted a couple times during the two hours. so i had to revert back to the 29 kernel

even with 29, the there was a noticeable speed boost

my experiences with 2.6.32.......

Updated cyan's 5.0 and gapps. then applied the new kernel with the JIT. in the course of like 8 hours, my phone randomly restarted 2 times, other then that worked fine. no real glithes, or issues. was tested on the edge network mostly because thats what we only get at work.

I went back to the 2.6.29 kernel and just apply the JIT patch. the phone practually runs about the same benchmark PI test. as the 2.6.32 kernel.

Benchmark PI..... results

1850+ - cyan's makin baccon mod

1100+ - cyan's 5.0 beta 2 + JIT mod

1000+ - cyan's 5.0 beta 2 + JIT mod + 2.6.32

I did enjoy testing out the new kernel, but the random restats got annoying. I will update and try again when a newer version comes out.

the kernel git repository gets updated quite often. yesterday there were some commits addressing the cardreader - might fix the 16gb class6 card issues.

as i don't yet have such a card, i can not say for sure :)

Applied the patch..Had reboots too..It seems like the reboot is happening due to the sync..Data is still syncing, if it doesn't reboot after the sync, then it likely something to do with it :)

So are you guys still running this or have you moved on to .32 with hi-mem and forgetting the JIT?

JIT is extremely unstable at the moment, Google is (afaik) working on getting JIT stable and they are having an event during Google IO in May(?) where they are going to discuss and hopefully set a date for a stable JIT launch.
