ive made a kitchen to edit boot.img

this is for windows only you need ActivePerl

download it here

extract my kitchen to your c drive

--------------------------------------

(1) then click 1.bat to extract the boot.img-ramdisk.gz , boot.img-kernel Ramdisk folder

then you can edit the ramdisk folder like e.g change startup logo , edit init.rc

(2) then click 2.bat to rebuild the boot.img

(3) put your phone into fastboot then click 3.bat to flash the boot.img

hope this helps people out

I extracted a boot.img & after without modify i made a boot.img from extracted files.

New boot.img not same with original, I don't get any error message.

I flash images original is working, new isn't working.

Can somebody help me?

Thank's.

I made 4.bat:

cd c:\Workfolder

mkdir tools\flash\

mkbootimg --kernel boot.img-kernel --ramdisk boot.img-ramdisk.gz -o C:\Workfolder\tools\Flash\boot.img --base 0x02e00000

I unpack with your 1.bat & repack with 4.bat the problem is same.

Why?????
