search ritchen's post. He has written a full howto about that.

I am using 4.005.05AAP_Gen2, and non of these OC kernels work well for me

all of them freezes after OC

Any help?

Maybe you have overclocked the cpu too much, my A1 for example didn't support frequencies above 921mhz...

liquid e generally is better in overclock.

hello and happy new year smile.gif

well, i still have my liquid A1, with LCR-F 2.0 and bin 4.002.14.EMEA.GEN smile.gif

i read this subject with attention

and also the subject below :

http://android.modac...acer-based-rom/

there has been a lot of collaborative work on the kernels, this is a pretty good thing of course, but as a consequence the features and status are a bit confusing rolleyes.gif

with my rom LCR-F 2.0, what custom kernel shall i use ?

to summarize...

choco-acer-kernel-110527-1501 mentioned here, as some LCR-F 2.0 users seem happy with it,

or :

lcrf20_ritchen_921_v1 (http://android.modac...acer-based-rom/) ... 921 or any other speed !

or :

chocolate_fix3 (http://android.modac...res-working-xd/)

or :

oc_lcr_new (http://android.modac...acer-based-rom/)

or even :

oc_with_mt_new / oc_without_mt_new

i'm a bit lost...

what is unclear for me :

- i assume that the kernel with name containing LCR are optimised for LCR... so why using choco-acer-kernel-110527-1501 ? or oc_with_mt_new etc ?

- lcrf20_ritchen_921_v1 (though max speed is in file name, underclock is possible). despite its naming, this kernel is packed by fearfactor84

- ritchen oc_lcr_new seems is less recent (feb 2011) but setcpu works

- chocolate_fix3 : still not clear if app2SD with malez recovery is OK

fixes :

- bug on mic input volume for recording can be solved with this patch http://www.fileserve.com/file/9CAkp2a or http://www.mediafire.com/?5b1z5bly8foo9z5 (thanks to paZirezz)

- card mount issues can be solved by unchecking safe mount / unmount if you use swap file and not swap partition

thanks and regards,

ph.

"Cloning into acer_stock_kernel...

fatal: remote error:

Could not find Repository gnufabio/acer_stock_kernel"

Link to manipulate-boot.zip file inside the kacer script is broken, too :(

Seems like multiupload.com is no more. Could somebody upload kernel files to different mirror, please?

Also there are errors with manual compilation:

Cloning into 'acer_stock_kernel'...

fatal: remote error:

Repository not found.

+1. I'm looking for last gnufabio's chocolate kernel. It seems like gnufabio removed acer_liquid_chocolate and acer_liquid_ramdisk projects with sources from github.

Link of last kernel "Download v 110527-1501:http://goo.gl/j7FTU " is broken.

Is there somebody alive with Liquid? Please, help!

Hello i am not a developer but these links might help you

Please check them out, i think these two repositories are clones from gnufabio's repositories

https://github.com/thepasto

Liquid Chocolate: https://github.com/thepasto/liquid-chocolate

Liquid RamDisk: https://github.com/thepasto/liquid_ramdisk

https://github.com/cleaton

Liquid Chocolate: https://github.com/cleaton/liquid-chocolate

Liquid RamDisk: https://github.com/cleaton/liquid_ramdisk

I flashed the kernel that found and posted above. Did wipe. There are a few bugs:

1) Do not turn off vibration buttons.

2) ADB does not see the phone.

The latest kernel from gnufabio has such a problem? Maybe I've found something wrong?

Did you flash the new Acer Drivers?

I mean after the new partition layout the new drivers were ported from acer a500(adb works with new drivers)

Which branch of "liquid-chocolate" did you use? gingerbread or ics(i would suggest the repository from thePasto)

You can try Liquid Parts app for hard key vibrations
