Samsung Galaxy S - Softbrick

1 post in this topic

Ok looking for a bit of advice, I was using Heimdall suite to flash a SGS, and to my horror it turns out the USB port/Cable had a fault and it crashed out just after formatting the device.

So, from what I have read I need to use Odin to flash on the recovery using a usb jig.

Anyone have any advice for any gotcha's i should be watching out for, aside from not using the cable/usb port.

Is it best to flash the standard rom back on or just go straight to a custom rom?

Thanks for any advice.
