I'm proud to announce you a (almost) fully working MIUI custom rom for the HTC Sensation, after working on the X10 for a long time, TDE (TripNDroid Mobile Engineering) is now able to release a rom that meets the quality standards as they where for the X10. This will not be a "stock" MIUI rom but a rom that gives a user experience almost identical to MIUI. The difference is that all options, functions etc. can be changed allong the road. The rom will get much more then MIUI and also will have less "bloatware" or useless things that arent needed for normal use.

Changelog S102B:

- New audio libs

- Fixed FullHD video recording

- Honeycomb powered video drivers

- Updated "chromatix" camera libs

- Optmised code

- TripNEngine partly integrated

"TripNEngine" is a custom Android engine on which the OS is running, see it more as a layer between kernel and OS

This custom "TripNEngine" is based on Gingerbread 2.3.7 and Honeycomb 3.1 / 3.2

to check if TripNEngine is integrated you can compare the core binary and lib files in relationship with the stock Gingerbread

- Old market returned untill the source of the FC is discovered

Notes about S102B:

After first boot when you select camera and then go to video the preview screen is disorted, to solve this please select "high" from the options menu and the preview screen will be automaticly fixed, you can then turn back safely to "hd" and the correct screen is back.

Changelog S1031B:

- Rebuilded source, about 60-70% is new

- Improved performance and smoothness in interface

- Latest MIUI

- Fixed more alignment issues for the interface

- New "Thermal Daemon" this controls CPU temp/heat/hz

to see what this is doing use logcat and search for "ThermalDaemon"

- Nice suprise included (you'll notice this  )

- Alot more but i forgot during the last hours lolz

- ZSL driver removed (next version will have it back in)

Changelog S0106B:

- Updated browser.apk, mms.apk to Android 2.3.7

- Updated torch.apk for QHD (unfinished)

- Updated MIUI backup procedure

- Hopefully fully fixed battery drain, at night i lost only 2%

- Huge performance and stability update

- Kernel revised from scratch and based on 2.6.38.8

- Updated CPU freq to 1,5Ghz default with only slight voltage increase (not noticable tough stable)

- Custom Adreno GPU drivers (based on HTC Holiday, myTouch, Pyramid)

doubled all buffers bus width for improved 3D performance

- Custom AOSP WIFI drivers

- Custom ZSL camera drivers (based on HTC Holiday)

- New custom interactive cpu governor

- Updated smartassV2 cpu governor (WORKING)

select "smartassV2" from TripNDroid settings and tick "set on boot" if you want to use it

- Updated GPS system

- Updated some system parts to Android 2.3.7

- New "HTC Sense" themed keyboard

- Removed bootsound

Changelog S01065B:

- Mms.apk fixed

- New theme

- Some ICS ringtones

- Very fast user experience

- Kernel update to 3.0.4

- Updated ZSL camera drivers

- JRCU added

- RCU boost added (normally for high SMP servers)

this boosted the user experience makes the rom feeling very fast when moving trough gui

for example in quadrant the fps in the first 2D test where 35 but within a second the RCU boost pushed it to 40-41 stable

this is the same for the gui, you notice that something accelerates the whole thing

the slightest delay before boosting is set with the value below, i was a bit scary to sit this at zero because i dont have a clue with that will do with battery life

- RCU boost delay set to 300

- Workload reduced

- "Miracle patch"

- Clean cache (incl. clean cache for ext4)

- Full range L2 boost (702Mhz - 1512Mhz)

- Some "creamie" surprises

- ICS "look-a-like" keyboard

Changelog S001RC:

- Updated to latest MIUI

- Updated bluetooth (not tested)

- Updated theme

- Alot of small bugs corrected (resulting in a faster rom)

- Old Market (works)

- ICS hwcomposer integrated (interface looks much better)

- Only Gingerbread base (ICS/GB mixed framework wasnt as good as expected)

- Improved battery life

- ICS keyboard

Changelog new kernel 20-11-2011:

- Camera

1920x1088 FullHD 28000 mb/s

100 kbs audio bitrate

48000hz sample rate

DO NOT MIRROR MY WORK WITHOUT PERMISSION

TAPS DISCLAIMER:

TripNDroid Mobile Engineering is not and will never be responsible for any damage to your phone and/or ears due to use of this rom. Volume is extremely loud and powerfull and advised is to set it half way. Especialy when using headphones, or the phone speaker when you're making calls. When you flash this rom you always do this at you're own risk.

GPL DISCLAIMER:

TripNDroid Mobile Engineering will make the (kernel) source code available to the "public" when everything suids our needs. This "project" will not be opensourced as long as the release is still in alpha and / or beta stage. As a little side note i would like to say that no one can prove that my kernel is exactly the way it is stated.. If i upload the HTC kernel source and just replace the acpuclock.c file and say THAT is my 3.0.4 kernel, then who can say that it isnt?

Basicly that means that if you want to play it hard, then bring it on. This is the only response from me on the GPL subject in this topic. Back to the rom. :)

I saw that one indeed, and tought why not give it a go  The result is this rom here. Hopefully the users from xda will check here once in a while and hopefully some will join and start using this. The release will be tomorow. Maybe i get the wifi issue also solved then.

edit:

Quadrant score is almost 2900, dont know if this is good or bad cause i'm in the Sensation world for just 2 days now (prev. xperia x10)

Anyone who knows what some good or bad quadrant results would be?

edit 2:

yes sound is fully working, as a "start off" present i will include "xLoud - Mobile sound improvement" by Sony Ericsson. designed for the Xperia Arc and soon also available on the Sensation

That is a respectable quad considering it's been a challenge to get any of those apps to read the dual core properly. Also the cores have a tendency to slow themselves down automatically when stressed (unless you have a custom kernel as well) but its still been an issue. Not like I'm an expert just what I've been reading from actual experts haha. The best quad I think I got was like high 3800s or something but that was OC'd obviously. Anyhow, just can't wait to flash this whenever you release it!

Yes sound is working 100% guarenteed. Probably i will release CM7 alson with audio, just to make it easier to wait for the official CM7 to arrive.

That would be really great... CM7+MIUI both?? hmm, just cant wait for tomorrow.
