Netflix now available in the UK (with Android client!)

1 post in this topic

Netflix, the super popular movie streaming service from the US, is now available in the UK!

The service, which is the largest source of Internet traffic in North America, is available at a cost of £4.99 per month with a free one month trial (no reason not to try it out right?). You can cancel before your 1 month trial expires and charging begins simply, and entirely online (which is refreshing compared to some other services!).

The movie selection is currently rather weak, especially if you are browsing HD content, but it does of course show great potential. Playback is possible via Windows, Mac, Android, iOS, some Smart TVs, Xbox and PS3... so there's a good chance you have something that will play the movies!

In response to the launch, current market leader in the UK LoveFilm have cut the cost of their basic streaming service (2 hours a month) to £5.99 a month with a 14 day trial... let the battle begin! :)

Visit the Netflix or LoveFilm homepage to sign up.
